Moe's Food Store Mexican • $$
38 Westbank Expy, Gretna

“I love Moe's. I'm not sure I've ever give a fast food joint five stars, but Moe's earns that rating. Here's why: Convenience I don't always have an hour or more for lunch. Sometimes I need something quick yet good that I can eat on the go in my car. It's not ideal, but I'm a busy dude. Moe's offers online ordering, paying and has a convenient drive up window for online orders. The online process is simple. It quotes 15 minutes before your food is ready, but I've had it ready in five or under. Food Moe's has a wide variety of Mexican food, but my go-to is the "Earmuffs" burrito bowl. With it I get my choice of protein, veggies and toppings. I've tried the main proteins and the steak is by far my favorite followed by the chicken. The pork is good too, but it must be stored in some sort of liquid because it's way too wet for the burrito bowl. I bet it works better in an actual burrito. Staff Here is where Moe's really shines. It hasn't mattered whether I went in and ordered or went through the pick up window. These people are awesome. I have never experienced fast food employees so happy and friendly. After a few trips I realized it wasn't a coincidence, but now that I've been many many times I realize that they are always amazing. I was so impressed that I even sent a message to their corporate headquarters praising them. I hope my high rating has been fully explained in my review. If not, you'll have to go and try for yourself, but for my money, Moe's is the best fast food experience I've had in a very long time.“

“This was a phenomenal dining experience at every level. The tasting was 85pp which is well worth it. The beef tongue was the best I've ever had, it was wildly tender. The tuna steak was similarly killer. Every dish was top notch. (Full disclosure the quail had the feet and my wife was off put, however I didn't mind). The staff was attentive, helpful, and warm. A strong recommend in a city that is already dense with great food.“

“For a Tex Mex place, I was blown away by the burger and fries. You can't go wrong with it. And you're missing out if you don't get one. The juicy burger with queso cheese, and a little guacamole far exceeds any expectations you have. Seasoned well and served with some slim cut fries. Trust me.“

“The beignets were great very airy, not too sweet make sure to eat them fresh. The omelette was create your own but good ingredients overall. The French toast had a very prominent vanilla flavor and was very sweet but very good. The burrito chimichanga style was amazing. The burrito was very greasy should come with some salsa on the side too to cut through that. The side of hash browns was the real star in all honesty so airy and crispy the best I've ever had.The service was quick and constant attention. The tables are weirdly close together which is interesting.“

“This is a really hard one to judge because there are enough factors making this a 4 star as well as a 5 star. The wait was not terrible considering it was a saturday night. Maybe thirty minutes and hoenstly we were kinda surprised when they did bring us back but you can totally get drinks and play yard games in the mean time. The appetizers we ordered were typical staples like beans, cheese, chips and they were fairly mediocre. Appetizer selection was very interesting and most of everything we tried was pretty good but I don't feel like the quality really reflected the price. For instance, the brisket encheladas were pretty good but there is another restaurant nearby which has a very similar dish for nearly half the price.Definitely worth coming for drinks and some light dishes but kind of a stretch for a family dinner.“
