“The food was excellent, homestyle cooking. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, interacted well with customers, and they provided excellent service, everytime I visited the restaurant. It is very family welcoming. The place is very clean. Can complete with any restaurant all round.

“I had been fishing around Venice LA and stopped by Captian Larry's on the way back to Minnesota. I ordered a Shrimp Poboy sandwich, it was excellent. The staff was professional, fun and helpful. I would definitely stop again.“

“Bought two sacks for Easter Sunday. First the sacks were over 40 lbs each which not something you find with other places. Next the size of these mini lobsters were huge. Lastly they were the cleanest I have ever gotten or seen. Will be doing business with Johnny’s again.“

“We stopped here recently while traveling, and I am still thinking about their breakfast burrito a week later! The creole potatoes inside were perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. And the seafood cheese sauce? Oh man was it good! I didn’t even think to take pictures. We agreed that even after spending a week in New Orleans, that this was the best meal we had on our trip, hands down. We really hope this local restaurant makes it so we can visit again.“

“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“

“The food was AMAZING, our waitress MO was so friendly with our family. She took the time out of her evening to talk with us, and didn’t just put us on the back burner. The prices were also great! My 3 year old got a kids meal and it was PLENTY to fill her up and gave extra!“

“Under new ownership. Same menu, different faces. Tastes the same tbh but the service can use improvement. All the same equipment but a new, far more convenient point of sale card machine. The fountain drink machine needs to be calibrated, there waa way more soda water rather than syrup. All minor inconveniences that im sure will be remedied. I am hopeful these guys can live up to the legacy of the nice couple that ran this place as long as I can remember. I'll check back in a few months.“

“Alright Hina Hut!! We ordered sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. The sweet and sour sauce is awesome! There have been some positive changes since we last ordered from Hina Hut! Chicken was great! They are boiling seafood now. Crawfish, sausage and corn were seasoned well! We had a pick up order and then bought some of the boiled stuff too!“
