“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“

“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! “Another Bar I have lived in New Orleans for 2 years now. I’m about to move to Houston. I came to New Orleans to start my life over and I had only a handful of people I knew in the city. When I came to karaoke with Blazen on Sunday Nights it truly saved my life. I was really struggling with feeling lonely in a new city. When I came to karaoke at Another Bar in Jan 2024 I truly found a home. I have always felt so welcome and Towner/ Blazen has put together a one of a kind experience in New Orleans on a Sunday Night. The talent that shows up on a Sunday night always blows me away. It’s really something special. Over the past 2 years I have only seen an increase in the number of people who come out ON A SUNDAY NIGHT- many who have work early the next morning, myself included. One of the first nights I came to Sunday karaoke, a drunk college student as a joke took my phone and keys. Blazen turned the lights up in the bar and everyone searched. Blazen made sure that I got my phone and my keys back. I felt like I was family. If anyone has anything negative to say about the staff at Another Bar I challenge them to show me the proof, because I have experienced nothing but love specifically because of Towner Hagen/Blazen Haven. I have told so many people to come to Another Bar because of Towner/Blazen Haven. If she went somewhere else, so would I. And I would tell everyone I knew to do the same.“

“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. “February 19th, 2020. Husband's 50th. Wanted a Mardi Gras birthday. He went to 'Bead & Boobs' on Bourbon whilst my short self wandered in this bar mid afternoon. I found a bar stool, kicked back and let Houla introduce me to a lovely spiced rum which became my companion the rest of the evening. The bar itself was clean, bathrooms were kept up and had a slappin playlist pumping. I watched drunken drama come in and out: a young couple saddled up and in mid drink the boyfriend realized he was surrounded by gays so he bolted, a gentleman asked me to babysit his darling Yorkie while he drained his snake, but the best was watching Houla superhero himself over the bar to rescue a very intoxicated woman from a total creep. That was legend! Enjoyed my 7 hour stay. Everyone needs to be here!!“
