“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“
“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! It's kind of like the New Orleans version of Cheers LOL I just hope at some point they will have karaoke on the weekends but I will definitely be frequenting there more often from now on.“

“A geoup of 8 of us came through on vacation and made this our first stop. We had the pleasure of having Mel as our bartender and she made the best bloody mary that any of us had had in our lives! That includes all the ones we had throughout the city during our week there. Some of us came back the next day and a different bartender admitted he couldnt make bloody marys like Mel. This place gave us the best welcoming to the city. The only downside is that there's no number to call so I can ask how she made them. Thanks again!“
“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“We took the pedestrian ferry from New Orleans to Algiers and walked 10 minutes to the bar. Ferry is modern, $2 fare, well staffed - it runs late as well. Algiers was an old neighborhood, but pretty clean, there’s a great path on top of the levee, we felt safe enough. The bar is “divey” but clean and well managed. We were very comfortable there. There is no food service - so we got pizza delivered. Staff was courteous and attentive. Nice stage, and a really good band called River Rock played ($5 cover – Elvis, Steely Dan, Petty, Springsteen, Eagles, Huey Lewis). It was worth the $5! Overall a great experience.“

“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.“
“THIS IS NEW ORLEANS. Nuff said.“

“Probably not a spot that you're going to take your mother, but let's face it - she's already in bed by the time Snake and Jake's gets going. Definitely a neighborhood spot that you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. A great dark dive to get away to if you need a break from the normal spots and grab a cold beer.“

“Another Bar I have lived in New Orleans for 2 years now. I’m about to move to Houston. I came to New Orleans to start my life over and I had only a handful of people I knew in the city. When I came to karaoke with Blazen on Sunday Nights it truly saved my life. I was really struggling with feeling lonely in a new city. When I came to karaoke at Another Bar in Jan 2024 I truly found a home. I have always felt so welcome and Towner/ Blazen has put together a one of a kind experience in New Orleans on a Sunday Night. The talent that shows up on a Sunday night always blows me away. It’s really something special. Over the past 2 years I have only seen an increase in the number of people who come out ON A SUNDAY NIGHT- many who have work early the next morning, myself included. One of the first nights I came to Sunday karaoke, a drunk college student as a joke took my phone and keys. Blazen turned the lights up in the bar and everyone searched. Blazen made sure that I got my phone and my keys back. I felt like I was family. If anyone has anything negative to say about the staff at Another Bar I challenge them to show me the proof, because I have experienced nothing but love specifically because of Towner Hagen/Blazen Haven. I have told so many people to come to Another Bar because of Towner/Blazen Haven. If she went somewhere else, so would I. And I would tell everyone I knew to do the same.“
“A welcoming bar with friendly staff. We felt right at home the minute we walked in.“

“Charlie Kelly is New Orleans Jesus. A god among men. The best bartender the world has ever known. He will always make you feel welcome and is a kind soul, but cross him and we will beat your ass, especially if you try to steal our cab or start a lame fight. Love you buddy!“

“Great bar to hang out in but it can get very loud. Mixed drinks are well made, canned drinks are very quick service. Pricing is fantastic and feels like a good value. I’ve been here multiple times and always enjoyed this bar, even if it is a bit loud for a great conversation“
“Cool dive bar, Fun vibes. The backyard courtyard is pretty neat. They have a little putt putt golf lane! Pool table, foosball, and eGolf inside, along with TVs and sports channels. Thursday Night Trivia @7:30 is so much fun! Dog-friendly, too.“

“Ana amazing spot tucked away just off of Filmore. We had a super rad time. The bar happened to be celebrating a customers birthday, so there were a good amount of folks right when the bar opened. Everyone was friendly and enjoying the company of others. Only took about 10 minutes before we started dancing. The bar serves food, but I did not try anything this round. But, I have a reason to go back.“
“Went to the free comedy show; it was fun! There was a nice crowd, and the drinks were excellent. The staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean.
I didn't realize there was food until I was leaving so I didn't have any.“

“February 19th, 2020. Husband's 50th. Wanted a Mardi Gras birthday. He went to 'Bead & Boobs' on Bourbon whilst my short self wandered in this bar mid afternoon. I found a bar stool, kicked back and let Houla introduce me to a lovely spiced rum which became my companion the rest of the evening. The bar itself was clean, bathrooms were kept up and had a slappin playlist pumping. I watched drunken drama come in and out: a young couple saddled up and in mid drink the boyfriend realized he was surrounded by gays so he bolted, a gentleman asked me to babysit his darling Yorkie while he drained his snake, but the best was watching Houla superhero himself over the bar to rescue a very intoxicated woman from a total creep. That was legend! Enjoyed my 7 hour stay. Everyone needs to be here!!“
“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. Unfortunately after I left, in the rain, slip sliding over to Bourbon St. I eventually slipped my best slip and fractured my fibula, skinned my knees and scabbed up my forehead. I’m paying for it now but it was an epic adventure. Love all of you there but I’m gonna give the old liver a break for a while. 10 out of 10 if you’re cool!“
“A really cool hang out spot for servers or just regular people alike looking for a fun place to hang out and shoot some pool or just enjoy the game on tv, regardless of what you're looking for for fun, this is a nice environment for it and the people that work there are really nice.“

“This was my second time in New Orleans with my wife. We stopped at the “Boondocks Saints” as we did the last time we were here. This is an awesome bar and they made us feel like one of the regulars. Our bar tender was Ally, she filled us in on what was going on and gave us great advice on local establishments. We were there quite a while and the total came to what we paid for two drinks at another bar. I highly recommend this bar when you come to the French Quarter.“
“Recently stopped by because a friend moved into the neighborhood. This is a really odd but interesting neighborhood bar. It's almost invisible during daylight hours because it's built on the side of what is obviously a house and the only signage seems to be neon signs in the windows which are covered with bars and not really visible during daylight hours. However at night the neon signs in the small windows really show up and they also have multicolored twinkle lights All along the outside walls of the building, on the bar part.Bartender Mary was very friendly. Drinks were very reasonably priced and will poured.Atmosphere... not the most up-to-date bar in town, but that's part of its charm. Definitely a place locals can go to in whatever attire they have on. Wouldn't be surprised if people felt comfortable going there in the pajamas, it's just that kind of place. This is a bar only, no food is served here. I was advised that they only took cash which is something you need to know. Don't plan on stopping here and running a tab on a card.“
“Fun time last night with the Tordown band ! Extra credos to Karen for turning off the tvs while the band was playing. That is a rare gesture and shows respect for the music !“
“Nice place with nice people I always have a good time there. Mondays they have a game night playing spades. A spades tournament. Closed on Tuesdays. On Wednesday they have seafood night $10 for a full plate. Thursday they have $5. Chicken boats, Hamburger or Hot Sausage boat or Fish boats and they all come with Fries. Friday night is Oldies but goody night with a 2 drink minimum you get a free fish plate. Saturdays is open for parties or if you just need a place to chill. SUNDAY is fun day from 6 pm to 9 pm they have $2 drinks. Monday- Thursday open @ 6 pm. Friday- Sunday open @ 12 noon. SO COME AND ENJOY THE FUN.“
