They did a phenomenal job with the groom's cake for my wedding -- a red velvet armadillo a la Steel Magnolias (which, let's face it, was really MY cake -- childhood dream accomplished). The cake itself was moist and delicious, but the decorating was nothing short of amazing. They also provided fantastic service -- zero drama, transparent process, fair pricing, clear communication, and timely delivery service. I was so impressed with this bakery from beginning to end. My only regret is that I didn't hire them to do my actual wedding cake, but since that was such a disaster (by a big name legacy bakery in Lafayette) I might have them make an anniversary cake in a year...so impressed! Definitely a fan! Hire them.“

“I put yes because I’m hoping it was just an off day and not a new norm. Generally, Miko’s is our absolute favorite local donut shop. The best old fashion donuts I’ve had in years. I’m literally obsessed and tell everyone to try them. Today is Mother’s Day, and I spent all night in the ER with my son and just didn’t want to cook breakfast on two hours of sleep.. To start, the jalapeño kolache was great and so were the specialty donuts! But our boudin kolaches- the bread was the same size as usual, but there was maybe a tablespoon or less of boudin inside each of them and the regular glaze and chocolate glaze donuts look much smaller than usual. My kids are still hungry after eating their breakfast. 😢“

“Picked up a 6 loaf bag of poboy breads yesterday, best bread in lafayette. Used to get them when we dine at Ruth’s Chris but since RC sold out they are using a much worse bread. Ruth’s needs to go back to Langlinais because Langlinais better fits with the fine dining of Ruth’s Chris.“

“Our family recently celebrated our Dad’s 90th birthday. The cake chosen from Sky’s The Limit was a running shoe on top of a shoe box. The running shoe was Rice Krispie treats and the box was the most scrumptious strawberry Bavarian cream. The cake was as marvelous as it looked. Kudos Sky !“

“I am most definitely not a donut person however Rickey Meches is the best donut I have ever eaten hands down. I first tasted their donut at work someone brought it in it was warm and really tasty. So I then went to the closest store to me and on my part I went late so the majority of choices were already gone however the donuts were not hot however they were still fantastic. I highly recommend their donuts by far the best.“

I absolutely LOVE this place. I stop in when I get a very frequent sweet tooth for a white chocolate raspberry bundtlet (the best!). The staff is always so sweet and ready to help. Angeline and Sarah are the only girls whose names I remember but ALL the girls are so sweet and helpful! Even if the person at the cashier is busy with another costumer, usually another team member is right around the corner willing to check me out. “As a customer before an employee, I never had a unsatisfactory visit here. The staff was always pleasant even when busy. When I got asked to come on as a part time decorator I thought sure,why not?! You never want to be the reason someone has a less than perfect birthday. It isn't as easy as it seems to recreate a vision with buttercream on a cookie but I try my very best.
