The owner, whose name I regrettably can't remember, came and sat with me as I waited while my to-go order was prepared. We had a wonderful conversation revealing how CSC came to be in Lake Charles. I thanked her for bringing delicious, reasonably priced, good-for-you food to us. I've tried just about every chicken salad; my personal favorite is Dixie Chick. The pimento cheese tastes like my grandmother's recipe.
I plan to get by and try the food. It looks incredible. I called in to ask questions about a few things on the menu and was pleasantly surprised by how patient and friendly the lady was that answered the phone. I give her 5 stars based on this particular interaction alone. I can’t wait to get by and try it. If the food is as excellent as this lady was helpful then I am sure it will be a slam dunk! Terrific food! Our first time visiting CSC. We ordered a Dixie Chick sandwich meal for my husband the onion lover and a Fancy Nancy for me. Wow! The first bite took my right back to my grandmothers house when I was a little girl in California, sitting on the front porch eating her chicken sandwich and drinking iced tea.
