“Got stuck working late, didn't even see the place coming into town. Leaving way after dark I turned out of the side street I had been on and saw it immediately. Its a real 50s drive in. Plenty of parking but I think no inside. You walk up to the window to see the menu and order. There is a LOT on the menu. I was the only customer but they were bagging a ton of small orders so I expect they do plenty of call in or grub hub orders. I didn't bother with the menu. This kind of place is for burgers. Just inside a nice lady was wrapping them, and the smell did me in. And I was right. Best burger I've had in 20 years. I have exactly one customer in this town and I can't wait till he breaks something so I can come back. And yes, surprisingly they do take cards. A lot of these places don't. Will find an excuse to go there again, and soon.“

“5 stars are not enough!!! Came in for breakfast, suggested by our Airbnb & let me tell you...absolutely the best I've ever had, & SUCH a great portion for the price!! We went for the Baller Breakfast & it had just about everything they offer, for literally only 6.50!! Delicious french toast & grits. Friendly, family service, nice chill atmosphere..would come back to St Martinville JUST to come here to eat.“

“Food is always fantastic and the service is excellent! I love that they always have nice dog treats on hand to give to our pups (who LOVE to go through their drive through!) The shrimp po-boys are one of our favorite “comfort meals” and while the line can be very long when they have dinner specials (!!), it is always worth it. Snowballs are good, too! The “frequent customer” program could use some tweaks; some employees seem unfamiliar that it even exists and while I have signed up for it, using it is problematic. Very small complaint though for an otherwise fabulous little place to get food from!“

“Stopped in with less than 30 minutes to close for lunch. Found a nice selection of meats and vegetables on the steam table. Picked the baked chicken plus greens, mixed vegetables, and rice dressing. They add dinner roll. Chicken fell off the bone tender, and they gave me enough for two people so I ate half and two sides. Saved the rest for later.Locally owned restaurant food is so much better than the franchise stuff. You just have to look outside the high rent strip mall areas.“

“Been trying to try this place. I only see the daily specials until I saw the real menu. It's a bit far but it's definitely worth the drive. I ordered take out, got shrimp eggplant and oyster po-boy. The shrimp eggplant is very delicious. The oyster was a bit off putting. My bad ordering oysters during the non-ber months. I still highly recommend this place. Can't wait to be back. The place is cool, very Cajun and service is great.“
