“We had Saturday afternoon lunch and it was great! Our server Rhett was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with us, as first time guests. The Mahi-mahi was fabulous, the catfish was the best we’ve ever had and the onion sticks are superb. To top it off, we tried the Peanut Butter pie and were quite impressed! This restaurant is worth the trip to Des Allemands, LA!“

“My only regret is not finding this spot sooner! I'm in town a few times a month and just happened to drive by and stop today. First off the waitress (Mrs. Lisa) was amazing! Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! I'll be seeing you again Mrs. Lisa! (side note her husband is also a Dolphins fan so make that 11 out of 10 stars)“

“The food was a 10/10 the service was a 10/10 and so was the atmosphere!! They offer all day happy hour on Wednesday and karaoke on Friday!!! Very nice family oriented vibe as well great place to have fun, family, delicious food, and perfectly crafted cocktails!!!“

“A little bit disorganized as far as service - it's confusing to see where to order and people cut in line "accidentally" for that reason. However I got the gumbo + shrimp po'boy (all the fixings) and it was lovely. Why do most airport food places have sub-2 or sub-3 star ratings? If this spot can do it, idk how anyone else can mess it up (grumpy airport folks?) Anyways, I was overall very satisfied with Folse and happy I got to have a delicious last meal in New Orleans before I left.“

“My family and I stopped by Sam’s Southern Eatery while visiting LaPlace, and let me just say — everything was spot on! The service was warm, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food… absolutely impeccable. Where do they find these people? Pleasant workers are hard to come by these days! It was so good the first time, we found ourselves back there the very next day! The catfish was fried to golden perfection — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The Philly cheesesteak was seasoned just right and packed with flavor, and the shrimp were large, juicy, and downright delicious. To wash it all down, do yourself a favor and try their hibiscus tea and lemonade mix — the perfect refreshing balance of sweet and tangy. Overall, Sam’s Southern Eatery earns a solid 10/10 from us. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Southern comfort food done right!“

“This was my first time here and it was amazing! The bbq ribs fell off the bone and the collard greens were flat out delicious!! I would definitely recommend! “My second time at this place. I love the atmosphere. You are greeted when you enter the place and when you are leaving out. The waitresses and management is so nice and polite. The food is amazingly so good. It's hard to get good service but this place is so great at it. Love this place if I could give it 6 stars I would.“

“Absolutely incredible! The staff made us feel like we were family and that we were the most important people in the world. I'm not kidding about that last statement... they were awesome! The Chef, Joe Boudreaux, was extremely personable and truly enjoyed talking about his passion, cooking. The food was fantastic... boudin egg rolls, the spicy fried oyster appetizer, the Montecristo, and the pork belly wedge were all so delicious. My advice is to take a little road trip to St. Rose and eat some of the best food and meet some incredible folks.“

“One of the best buffets anywhere. Crabs, shrimp, frog legs all very good. Crabs were not huge, but they were full. Sushi, Chinese items all good quality for a buffet. Price was very good as well, 100% will return.
Parking: Plenty of room behind plus was able to park truck w/ boat and trailer on the side of the building with easy access back to highway.“

“I recently visited this restaurant during my trip to Louisiana and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the beef fajita tacos, and they were delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable.
The prices are affordable, and I loved that they have a music stand where you can request your favorite tunes. They offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Another big plus is their free parking lot, which made it super convenient. The wait time was reasonable—less than 10 minutes—and they accept both electronic and cash payments.
Overall, it’s a great spot for good food, good vibes, and excellent service. Highly recommend!“
“We purchased crabs yesterday on our way home to West Monroe from a business trip to New Orleans. I told my husband on our way to NO that I had an Envie for boiled crabs. We looked in NO and could not find any boiled. One the way home we google boiled crabs and stopped by. They were so delicious, big, spiced just right and full of meat. We will be back!!!“

“Bf has been raving about this place for years about the Shrimp Ducky. My First time and Came alway from Texas. The food was amazing. I am disappointed in the person at the hostess stand. She was a little rude and not hospitable. We had a togo order due to our dog in the car. We don’t know where to go to pick up the order and it left us wandering the restaurant.“
