Café Du Monde Mail Order Reviews
We always try to go here when we are in New Orleans. Last weekend we took my niece for her first visit and she left her purse that was filled with all of her makeup. She was so upset because we are 5 hours away and she was starting school this week. I called the next morning and they located the bag and overnighted it to us! What a blessing! That is great customer service.
Visited the Metairie location and they kept the $2 change, the place stunk like bathrooms which were nasty, they refused to serve us on plates, workers were playing with the dough like it wasn’t food. Called the manager who could have didn’t care. Skip this nasty place and visit shipleys instead.
The food was good. Cash Only the service was Bad and restrooms were nasty.

Café Du Monde, a renowned tourist spot in New Orleans, is celebrated for its delicious beignets and coffee. The atmosphere is often described as magical, especially in the early morning when jazz music plays. The beignets are thick, filling, and messy, covered with a generous amount of powdered sugar. The coffee and hot chocolate are also highly praised. However, the small bathroom with long lines can be an inconvenience. Visitors should prepare for a potential wait, as it is a popular place to try in New Orleans. The prices are unmatched, and it is cash only. Outdoor seating is available, and the building is mostly open to the elements. Café Du Monde is considered a New Orleans institution that is open 24 hours.
Customers praise the iconic beignets as delicious, warm, fluffy, and perfectly coated in powdered sugar, paired with the perfect coffee. While it is a bit touristy, it is a classic New Orleans experience that is worth trying. The place can get extremely packed and crowded throughout the day, with long lines for both take-out and seating. The tables are arranged to fit as many customers as possible, resulting in a close-knit seating arrangement. However, the friendly waiters ensure quick service and delivery of the freshly fried beignets.
