We ate here for lunch today, and it was absolutely delicious! We had mushroom and pork tacos, cucumber salad and kale salad. Yum!!!! If you haven't eaten here, I would encourage you to give it a try. Plus, the folks are really friendly and hospitable.
I recently visited La Casita when I caught up with a friend over dinner. Located on Oak St. it was a little difficult to get to the restaurant due to the parade traffic, but that is a given during Carnival season. The restaurant itself has a relaxed, homey vibe. This restaurant is my favorite place to eat in New Orleans. Every single menu item I tried in the three times I ate there was fantastic. The staff was attentive and I felt like a valued customer every time I ate there. Try the cochon and el fuego if you eat here.
