“what a wonderful little place! my partner & i were in town visiting for a week & out of every where we ate, this place REALLY stood out. the atmosphere is very cozy with “home cooked meal” vibes. they also serve drinks (hence the name) & on mondays they have a lasagna special which was soooo tasty. the staff is also very very sweet, they gave us amazing recommendations & remembered our faces by the second time we walked in. it felt very personal & warm. they have kind of an “open kitchen” concept which i think really adds to the ambiance. it feels like youre at a friends house for dinner & drinks. love love love!“

“Going to The Tell Me Bar is like going to the coolest bar in Mexico City. This is one of the most magical and authentic spots in New Orleans. The wines are so amazing, but the people and vibe are even better. I have learned so much about wine just coming here and talking to the bartenders. Just the coolest place!“

“We hosted our wedding of roughly 60 guests at Barrilleaux's, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our guests are still raving about all of the amazing food. It is a beautiful indoor setting, with plenty of tables for guests to mingle outside. At first, we were a bit worried that the space might be too small, but we had a six-piece band, and ice cream sundae bar, and still more than plenty of room to dance, for guests to hang out at their tables, and to walk around and mingle. We found out the day of the wedding that one of our guests was vegan. When we asked the chef if there were any vegan options on the buffet that we had planned, he went out of his way to make her an entire beautiful, custom vegan dinner. We thought this was absolutely above and beyond and we are so thankful to the chef! Brittani was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process, and Patsy was incredible on the day of. The team is super accommodating, friendly, and truly made it the best day ever.“

“We like Patrick’s Bar Vin, a nice laid back wine bar with a good mix of locals and tourists. The place is geared as a wine bar but they have a full service cocktail bar also, if you prefer. They do not regularly serve food here, as a service but do occasionally have parties where food may be present. A good place for conversation and fun.
Vegetarian options: Food not regularly available
Dietary restrictions: Ask before ordering
Parking: Limited street parking paid hotel garages in vicinity
Kid-friendliness: An adult environment
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible, may need assistance“

“Lovely wine forward but beer and whiskey and gin and cider available in a full bar, few vegetarian options but my lady swears by the goose fat fried fries and Chinese five spice chicken wings, good wine selection and lovely atmosphere.
Vegetarian options: Few and far between, unfortunate. But a lovely location, great service, and excellent alcohol selection.“

“Wandered in because it was so pretty inside through the window, and sure enough, it was on the inside too! I didn't have much appetite but felt social and curious, so I sat up at the barter chatting with other guests and browsing menus. I eventually went with a couple drinks made by bartenders Will and Nick, who will steer you in the right direction if you ever find yourself clueless yet captivated at their bar.“

“Staying nearby and drove by a few times and saw it was always busy. Walked up for an early dinner and couldn’t have been more impressed. Great people, great atmosphere and unbelievably delicious food made with fresh ingredients. Also found everything reasonably priced. Very happy that we trusted in our rule of eating where the locals go. How have they not been featured on the Food Network???“

“Silk Road is a bit off the beaten path, but we were very interested in trying the restaurant. The reviews looked great, but they were old. We are so glad that we ate dinner here. We ate outside as it was a beautiful evening and the inside didn't appeal to us. The food was amazing and the prices incredibly (almost unbelievably) reasonable. Apparently the chef has been there for 10 years and continues to wow the staff with his creativity and quality delicious dishes. We can't agree more. Usually we don't repeat a restaurant when we are on vacation because there are so many to try in a short period of time. This food was so delicious, we will partake again before we leave. As a side note, my husband is gluten free and there were a number of options for him. His red curry dish was wonderful, as was my tikki masala.“

“Decided to go to Wrong Iron on a whim and had a great time. There were so many different drink options including NA options. A wonderful employee named Marissa helped me out with options and showed extreme patience and kindness as I could not make up my mind. Marissa suggested one of her favorite options and it is now MY favorite. There was also very good food. There was a delightful scent in the garden and it was all in all wonderful. Never have I been treated so well by a bar tender like Marissa…I wish Michigan had someone like her. Other employees were nice as well.“

“Holiday Family Gathering
What an experience. Sydney was a true gem in hosting my cousins for our annual holiday gathering! We had amazing service, the food was incredible and such a great space to meet.we wouldn’t have enjoyed being here nearly as much without having Sydney here to make the best cocktails ever and have the best service presence. Oak & Ale is lucky to have someone like Sydney to represent private parties and bartend. I hope they give her a wonderful Christmas bonus for the service she provides to their customers. Thanks, Sydney for hosting us!“

“By far the best meal of our trip! We visited NOLA for our first time with too high of expectations as far as the culinary scene. We (early 30’s-40’s) stumbled on this spot after being disappointed by nighttime Bourbon St turning into a club scene and wanted some jazz, quieter crowd, authentic experience. After some jazz up the street, we spotted this empty table up on Tapas e Vino’s balcony. We showed up towards closing and they were super generous on still seating and serving. We’re wine collectors/snobs and enjoyed all our glasses, but man the food was insane. Lamb Lollipops, duck fat fries and baked goat cheese were out of this world and cannot be missed. We had some other dishes like ceviche and manchego cheese flambe that were good too. Watching the crowd or occasional parade from the balcony was super cool. Just an overall amazing experience. Thank you guys for being one of the highlights of our trip!“

“The Hermes bar is part of Antoine’s and we stopped in for a cocktail before our dinner reservations. We sat at the bar and perused the menu as well as started up a conversation with the bartenders.
The bar itself probably seats around 10 people however the room is large and has numerous tables in it. The bar itself has a old New Orleans decadent feel, and the walls have displays about various events during Mardi Gras over the years. Lots of cool pictures and memorabilia.
Being in New Orleans I decided to order a Vieux Carre one of the historic drinks of New Orleans. My wife ordered an old-fashioned. Both drinks were very good and the conversation with the bartender informative as we were looking for additional places to explore while we were in the city for a few days.
Not all bars are created equal, this one had the ambience the great drinks and the great wait staff. I highly recommend it.“
