“We strolled in here not knowing this place at all. Originally, we wanted to go to St. Roch Market, but we were not too impressed and left. Best decision ever! This unassuming little gem fed us a beautiful, creative, and delicious breakfast. Every item in the menu was an elevated and creative version of all our breakfast favorites. They have a lot of bar/counter seats, which is my favorite. You get to see your breakfast being cooked right in front of you.“

“Had the pleasure of working with the management and staff at Oak and Ale to help me surprise my fiance with a small party after proposing. The staff were kind and opened the doors early for people to set up, the bartenders were patient with the children who were present, and contributed to the celebratory atmosphere. “We hosted our wedding of roughly 60 guests at Barrilleaux's, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our guests are still raving about all of the amazing food. It is a beautiful indoor setting, with plenty of tables for guests to mingle outside. At first, we were a bit worried that the space might be too small, but we had a six-piece band, and ice cream sundae bar, and still more than plenty of room to dance, for guests to hang out at their tables, and to walk around and mingle. We found out the day of the wedding that one of our guests was vegan. When we asked the chef if there were any vegan options on the buffet that we had planned, he went out of his way to make her an entire beautiful, custom vegan dinner. We thought this was absolutely above and beyond and we are so thankful to the chef! Brittani was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process, and Patsy was incredible on the day of. The team is super accommodating, friendly, and truly made it the best day ever.“

They are my favorite spots to come alone and just vibe. The atmosphere is always right, even as I sit here during the Muse Mardi Gras parade, I am grateful to have my own personal spot in the mix.

There is always something new to find on the wine list, the goose fat fries are banging every time and the staff have a way of making me feel like a friend instead of a customer.

They were happy to put an obscure soccer match on a big screen for us, cook us delicious food (the fish and chips were a highlight, as were the weekend special Buffalo chicken dip egg rolls), and pour us some great drinks. “We had a great time last night. We knew they were dog friendly. But they were also kind and welcoming to our horses. They even brought us water for them like they do for pups. I got the chips and beef queso which bit the spot and my boyfriend enjoyed his cheese fries. I love that they also had my usual drink! We'll be back.“
