“We dined at Sandbar last night and it was excellent! The fish tacos were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We had the chance to meet the new owner, who was so personable and accommodating. The restaurant has a fresh new look, and you can tell there’s great energy behind it. Excellent chef, great bartender, and you can’t beat the beautiful view of the water. They also have sand volleyball, TVs, and a kids menu, which makes it great for families and groups. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Went there for the first time Saturday night. We had a good time. If you drink beer or a daiquiri you’re in good shape. I ask for a gin and tonic, no tonic. They had soda water, so I tried it, ok. Otherwise had a fun time listening to reflections and dancing.”

“Been eating at Ma Mama’s for past 4 years multiple times per month, mostly lunch time. I have never had a bad dish and have tried the whole menu. I have traveled the world and eaten at some amazing restaurants, Ma Mama’s is my favorite for Louisiana cooking in the Baton Rouge area. Service can be slower at times, but never experienced rudeness. I enjoy the occasional new item on the menu to try new tastes. I will continue to enjoy a wonderful dining experience at Ma Mama’s.”

“So I had to come here to say… I just had the best lunch! I kept hearing people talk about “Big Boys” is now serving BBQ. So I decided to try it. I ordered the “Ginnie Sandwich.” It had sausage, pulled pork, and brisket… It was huge, and soooo good! Every bite was amazing!!! It’s a must try! “The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. I can honestly say that anything I've ever eaten here is delicious and trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. Not to mention the fact that the owners are so nice and the prices are very reasonable.”

“Hubby and I go here to unwind. Theres free drinks, long as you are playing on the machines inside the casino. Only problem last time was, these young gals coming in there, hanging around older men, walking around all loud and not playing machines. I dont like when people sit and stare or are loud, and it gets aggravating because the noise level raises, 🙄”
