“I finished this meal five minutes ago and let me tell you, this is the best cheeseburger on False River. Hands down. One of the best burgers I’ve had around the Baton Rouge area as well. The home made praline is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re reading this, go try it. You won’t be disappointed.”

“I went to the wellness bar and had the watermelon juice. The juice was 100% authentic. It was cold and refreshing and just what I needed after a hard workout. The price wasn’t bad as well.”

“Went for deer processing and we had a great and easy experience. First of all I cannot express how friendly the staff is here. Peanut and his spouse Gabby were great to deal with. We explained being we have very young children (baby & toddler) we did not want the ground meat and sausage too spicy and they fulfilled. Most places when you say “not too spicy/hot” it is still way too hot for children. The best item/family favorite that I intended to write about are the burritos he made for us. Wow these were hands down delicious and up to par with any nice Mexican restaurant burritos you could get. We enjoyed them so much we wish we had ordered more. Now we know what and where we will be going for our deer processing ! Thank you so much.”

“My wife hired the Boiling Branch to cater a rehearsal supper, and we were well pleased. They delivered on time and were extremely helpful in serving up the crawfish. The crawfish had a very good flavor. The price was reasonable, and we would definitely consider going back with them for any future events.”

“Cool place in a small town. We were in town to visit hot tails. Went for a walk through town and stopped by false river to sit by the water. Stopped here afterwards for a drink. Tons of drinks on the ready. The lady was pretty friendly and the service was fast since we were the only ones there. No complaints. Will probably be by again next time we are there.”

“Went there for the first time Saturday night. We had a good time. If you drink beer or a daiquiri you’re in good shape. I ask for a gin and tonic, no tonic. They had soda water, so I tried it, ok. Otherwise had a fun time listening to reflections and dancing.”

“First time customer of The Boiling Branch this weekend. We didn't find a single dead crawfish in two sacks. Crawfish were significantly larger than what we purchased last weekend. They did cost a little extra over the chain grocery stores but after factoring in quality , dead crawfish, and customer service I fell like I came out ahead.”

“The food is piping hot when you get it and it almost burned my mouth. That's how food should be served. Fried seafood combo included fish, shrimp (from Louisiana), oysters (from Louisiana), and crab claws. All cooked very well. I think the oysters could have been cooked a little longer though but they had great taste.McKenna was really good on expressing her ideas about the menu even though she doesn't like oysters. I like a candid server who can speak their mind. She sold me on the Milky Way pie that was extremely good. You got to have it.This was overall a great experience and when I come back through here again I'll try something new.”

“First time there today, and I ordered the turtle soup and porterhouse porkchop. The soup was extraordinary, and the sweet potatoe casserole was excellent as well. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, well presented, very thick and juicy, but lacked seasoning. The ribeye my coworker got looked freaking amazing. He said it tasted that way too. The restaurant was really clean and cozy and the servers were very polite and attentive. My only complaint was the food took a long time to come out and there weren't a lot of people there during our lunch. Arrived at noon and I left at 1:30pm. Besides that, I really look forward to going back to trying some other things.”

“I stop here all the time. There's not too many stores around... But luckily Waterloo aleays has what I need. Everything from a soda and a bag of chips to motor oil and lotto tickets. They also sell tobacco products and alcohol. They even have a small selection of fresh made sandwiches. There is a small car wash in the parking lot and a small daquiri shop.”

“The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. “KENYA at SUBWAY did a really good job making my sandwiches (3). The sandwiches were really delicious! She was listening to me and was very calm when making the sandwiches. I asked her numerous times to do things a little late and she did a terrific job filing those requests late.I told her to add salt/pepper, apply avocado, and even oil late by accident, and she was very calm and skillful in figuring out solutions for TERRIFIC customer service!I would definitely ask for her to make my sandwiches when I go to New Roads Walmart again!”

“So I chose to eat out on Christmas eve and most places closed early. This place was open till 11p. I ordered a ribeye steak. It was very tender and though I cut some fat off it was large in size. My baked potato was good but not baking hot. It was definitely reheated in the microwave, it could have used a few more minutes. A plus to this place was the large variety of bottled beer to choose from. My pick was Red Stripe, so smooth.”

“I was delighted to come here for lunch. I ordered a shrimp po-boy and sidewinder fries, and the shrimp were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The bread was also soft and perfect for the sandwich, and I loved the sidewinders. Great place if you are passing through!”
