The atmosphere is fun if you are 4/20 friendly or even just like music and movies, etc. I would highly recommend giving Subway and Jimmy John's a break and trying Cheba Hut for a different experience. “I've been here countless times for remote work. Both the inside and outside have been newly remodeled, and the atmosphere and style is cozy and very nicely designed. They have a sick outdoor courtyard that is freshly remodeled. They also have two big communal tables inside, so if you bring a big group when it's not too busy, you may be able to get one of them. The workers here are the sweetest people, and the service has always been great. As far as coffee shop pastries go, the pastries here are some of the best, if not the best, in Baton Rouge. Their homemade pop-tarts are a MUST-ORDER ITEM.. they will change the trajectory of your life!!! Their savory food items are also homemade, but they need some tweaking. All of the savory sandwiches/panini I've tried have an element of sweetness, which is weird. I wish they were saltier and less sweet, especially for anything that has egg. The grits bowl is VERY good, but I am personally freaked out by the amount of butter they put in the grits. We all know that butter makes grits taste great, but the grits at Magpie take this way way too far. I think it would be awesome if they made them with less butter, but then add the option to get more butter on the side for people who want more.

Unfortunately it would be unfair for me to comment on their coffee because I don't even like coffee. Anyway, this place is AMAZING and I highly recommend it.“

We had the jackhammer freedom berry and james browny jackhammer and they were both very refreshing, ingredients were fresh, and usually I'll eat a few bites and be done but finished off a medium. “The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“I made a last-minute decision to pick up a small pizza for the first time yesterday. The manager was very friendly and helpful in suggesting I try the garlic butter drizzle. My pizza was ready in less than 15 minutes and was absolutely amazing! My husband ate some of it last night and loved it just as much as I did. Definitely will be returning! My only advice would be to post a menu from which to order at the drive-thru.“

The lady at the counter was super sweet and made us a combo drink with the Golden Retriever beer and a pineapple jalapeño syrup that was absolutely delicious. A super grande vanilla latte with foam is like maybe getting a grande coffee. If you ask for no foam or froth only 1-6 can understand what that means. Not sure how else to order no froth or foam and get a super grande cup of vanilla latte.“

“I LOVE THIS PLACE. I went to a similar restaurant in Denham I think. The food was NOT good and the portions were small as well. I'd been really trying to get back here for a visit. Living in Louisiana I get tired of the same foods. I was happy that the food quality, flavor, AND portions were the same as my past experiences. Kudos to this establishment staying consistent. So many restaurants are cheating the public by cutting back on the portions and charging the same or more. 10/10.“

“You might want to acknowledge your customers that are coming to pick up an order, 3 or 4 people hanging around the drive thru window 1 customer walked in after I did. I'm standing at the register 2 employees see me but not one came over. This has happened before it was 3 or 4 people waiting for to go orders, this don't make any sense. Bad customer service do better or at least assign someone to assist with to go orders.“

“This location of IHOP is wonderful! The food is hot (butter actually melts - LOL!), served quickly and correctly. Everyone - the hostess, server, and manager - was attentive and friendly. The two times we've been to this location were about 7:30 am on a weekday. I can't review other times, but the staff's attitude suggests it would be the same.“
