“Wow! Wow! Chef Jason Seither hit the flavors out of the park. So much food goodness. Our meal for 5 of us started with the Kung Fu Tuna, which is a Hooked up salad of seared tuna, avocado,snow crab salad with sriracha & Asian sauce, served with tortillas, so freaking good. I crave this now that I am back home in North Dakota. I have had crawfish in étouffée. I have also had a shrimp boil but learned hot to eat boiled crawfish here. Dari our server is helpful in showing how to eat the crawfish along with our Louisiana host, Charlene. You twist the head, squeeze and suck the fat and juice out. You can also squeeze this on the potatoes. I dipped my crawfish body in melted butter, because why not? They are like tiny lobsters. We were not done we also shared the Monster, a fried oyster po boy. Oh my it is so yummy, crispy breading with a tender oyster wrapped inside. The bun that encased this good is warm and taste’s like mom’s homemade bread. Because we were not stuffed full enough, we shared the deep fried Mardi Gras bread pudding, a sweet delight. Fantastic fun atmosphere, custom crawfish wall paper by Jon Sherman of Flavor paper. I loved it. The staff is so friendly, fun and attentive. Such a great dining experience. “A colleague shared their experience with me about this restaurant prior to me visiting. He shared how he enjoyed the food after initially being drawn in by the lunch prices. He goes there to enjoy the jerk chicken especially. Being a Jamaican hearing this from someone who was not led me to gather other peers to join him for lunch at this restaurant. The food was great and I was impressed by the service; fast and accommodating. To top it off, the owner came out to say hello. “We had whole manor to ourselves. Chef came to cook our breakfast. Room was awesome. Had separate living room/ coffee microwave area. We choose because rated a 10 and it was an 11. Three french doors from our room to veranda. Elevator, dining room , restaurant all from early 1900's.“

“First hands down shortstop is #1 in po-boys i guarantee it beings that it's the longest place I've eaten my po-boys beings my grandparents lived i grew up 4809 Eagle st one block over I remember my mom and Dem sending me there to make groceries before they were a football shot they were a grocery store they did sandwiches in the back are on the side but then they went to all po-boys can't say I blame them best in the city and surrounding area they're good in quality quantity hospitality and service but let me just say this the people in there are sweet and kind is going to be and most respectful give them the utmost please and yes sometimes you'll catch one who may have a slight attitude but just know there's nothing towards you and it's nothing personal 2 minutes later they'll be the sweetest soul there is you got to understand that human too yeah but that's very rare short stop is apart of the city I don't know how my life would have been without them seriously there not just a restaurant they treat you like family especially if you are a regular and always come in there oh and I say this for me and most of everybody I know that goes there this is for the tourist and those who have never really been there you can not have a shortstop poor boy without a barques root beer I guarantee you and da family will pass a good time oh and yes I wanted to add it is a very family orientated and family environment again with all due respect is mind your manners and you will fall In love enjoy chef Mac“

“Gentleman that took my order over the phone was very helpful and professional. My order was ready when I arrived to pick it up just over 10 minutes later and the food was delicious. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy and the bread was super fresh, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, nice size and well portioned. I also ordered a side of fries and they were plentiful, crispy and well seasoned. Highly recommend. Great neighborhood spot!“

“We have enjoyed their food for many years, however something has changed. Their enchiladas are no longer the same. The last time we got them they were raw tortillas with meet inside and some sauce on top. There weren't placed in an oven and covered with sauce and cheese like they use to be. It's disgusting to serve something like this to customers. We will be looking elsewhere unless this changes.“

There are 2 condiments/toppings I can not stand and will ruin anything I eat because you can’t just wipe it off and that Sour cream and MUSTARD!!!!! I can not figure out how “Mayo, Lettuce and Ketchup ONLY” translates to MUSTARD, Lettuce and Ketchup!!!! The words Mustard and Mayo don’t even begin to sound the same except for the M. And it wasn’t a little mustard. The bun was SOAKED with it. Call them and wanted me to come back in so they could remake it while the rest of my family’s can eat theirs. I’m glad they didn’t put it on my 6yrs olds burger!!!!“

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure“

“We live in Alabama and came to New Orleans for the weekend to see family. Hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had!!!! Super cheesy, not too greasy, cooked just right! Our waitress was so sweet and talked with our 4 year old, I wish I would have gotten her name, she left half way through us being there and the waiter that took over was just as sweet! I told him I need them to come open a store in lower Alabama and if not imma have to make the 4-5 hour drive once a month just for the pizza😂“
