“First off, I love the food and coming to Gibbons. Everything has always been great. Unfortunately, I had to adjust my rating because the hostess who stated she was the manager working on Sunday evening, 11/2/25, refused not only myself, but my family service for me asking a question. We came for my daughter's birthday. My daughter called early in the day to make a reservation and was told that there were no reservations available and that we would need to come in to get on the wait list. I called back to the restaurant to see if there were any cancelations and told the lady on the phone that we would have a party of 11 people. I was told that there hadn't been any cancelations and that we would need to come in to get on the wait list. When I arrived, I told the hostess that we had a party of 11 and she said that they could not accommodate for a party of 11 people. I asked why weren't we told this when we called twice that day? She said that she didn't know and that she couldn't accommodate. I asked if she could do a party of 8 and the other 3 could sit separately and if they could be close together that would be great. The hostess then said, "Unfortunately we can't accommodate you because I don't like the way you are speaking to me." I was taken aback when she said that. I am genuinely not a rude person and absolutely was not being rude. I question her as to how I was being rude and she said that I has a passive-aggressive tone to my voice. I stated that was not my intention, I was simply asking a question. I then asked if the remainder of the party could be served and that I would go elsewhere. She told me no, she wound not serve any of us. I then asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. So to Gibbons, please let people know of your policy of a maximum party of 8 people when they call. Many of us in our party drove nearly an hour to come celebrate my daughter's birthday and eat at your establishment. Then to be called rude for asking for clarity and for at least for some of the party to be seated and dine at another table. Thanks, and God bless.“

“My Wife and I eat there quite often for lunch. The meals we have eaten there has always been TOP SHELF DELICIOUS AND EXCELLENT, as well as the SERVICE. I particularly always enjoy their cheeseburgers with fries. Their hamburger steak is delicious too and it is served with homemade gravy instead of gravy out of a package like most restaurants do. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. OH, forgot to mention, their catfish on Friday is DELICIOUS too, and they serve AMERICAN raised catfish instead of that fish that comes from overseas.“
