They were very busy when we visited. Got seated promptly, server was very nice AND efficient. I got a junior cheeseburger, it was still large. I would say 1/4 pound and plenty of fries to go with. It was delicious. Hubby ordered a Ruben, he said it was the best he'd had in a long time. Aside from being noisy (just lunch rush busy), it was fabulous. When we are in the area again, we will definitely stop by.
I moved to Louisiana a year ago, and have been enjoying the local cuisine, with my daughter and grandson, as often as we can. Southside Cafe has moved to the top of our list of favorite places to dine.

This is a special place and it was an honor to eat here with all of the military history and memorabilia. Food was tremendous. The Muffaletta sandwiches are INSANE... The picture is a HALF sandwich.
