“Went there for Taco Tuesday and it was great. Tacos were delicious. Drinks great and packed a bit of a punch. Server was super nice. All in all I'm coming back. Atmosphere is nice in the all pink and the antique stores nearby offer a nice stroll afterwards.Parking: On the side of the road nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor but with a lil. Step to get in.“
“Ordered for pickup. First time here. I have to give it to this staff. They called my phone more than once trying to catch my mom to tell her she didn't grab both bags. Guacamole was really good as was everything else. This has made it to my list of places to order takeout. $40 for 2 meals with sides plus tacos isn't bad.“
“What can I say? The food was amazing, and service was great. Today was my 1st time eating there. I ordered Chicken Quesadillas with the loaded fries, and shared some BBQ wings with my bf. The Chicken Quesadillas were the best I've tasted and the loaded fries didn't miss! Their wings are good too. I'll definitely be going back again.“

“We had such a great time! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food (we had cheeseburgers) were amazing, and they are dog friendly! My pups had a blast and were so happy to be there (water bowl and treats provided by staff as well). Can’t beat the prices, environment and people. We will definitely be back!“
“My fiancee, nephew and I went here last weekend. Their service was awesome and the food was delicious! Word of warning, unless you have a LARGE Larry don't order the large queso and guacamole it came in cereal bowls...very generous portions. I honestly can't remember what anyone else ordered but I got the carne asada and it was so good. So far the best in Ponchatoula. If you have not been there yet, you need to go!“

“Look at their menu online before you go in, be prepared to speak Spanish. Do the best you can, and you'll be rewarded with the most delicious food around. Take it to-go so you don't moan in the sitting area once you take a bite.It's not hard to use Google translate, or at least try. Go in refusing to speak any Spanish and you'll likely not be served. Do not disrespect their heritage.If you can't be bothered, there are other places to eat.Your loss ?“
“It was good but not as good as the pics made it seem. The tacos were tiny and barely had any meat in them (steak, al pastor, and chicken). Meh on the flavor. I liked the burrito (al pastor). The sopes my husband really liked I didn't care for it. We also got the Frijole poposas and they were okay but definitely not yummy and gewy like they look in the pics.“

“It's always a great experience to be a regular at an eatery, where they know you when you walk in and know what table you prefer. The food is very good, the atmosphere is a ten! Sometimes we get a wait person who isn't that good, but that's anywhere you go. Our favorite place for a weeknight dinner.“

“La Carreta has been a staple in Ponchatoula and Hammond for some time and their food is always hot and delicious. They are able to accommodate our family of 8 and their service is always excellent. I especially love when they have the live music as well!“
