Covington's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“Kid-friendliness: We had a birthday dinner at The Pink Agave of Covington for my daughter’s 10th birthday. All of the girls had such a great time! They enjoyed taking pictures and being served mocktails in their “super cool” cups. All of the staff there were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fun night and went home with full bellies. Special shoutout to our server, Justin!! He was so awesome and super great with all the kids. His patience level is superb. He made sure every part of our night was timed out to accommodate everything on our agenda and I will certainly ask for him for all future visits, THANK YOU JUSTIN!!“
“Just had an incredible dining experience at Habaneros, and I can't stop raving about it! Larise, our server, elevated the entire evening with her exceptional service – attentive, friendly, and with a genuine passion for making our visit special. The menu is a foodie's dream, boasting a diverse range of flavorful dishes. Her expertise in guiding us through the options made the decision-making process a breeze. The atmosphere was lively, and the attention to detail in presentation and taste was remarkable. Kudos to my server and the talented team at Habaneros for an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a perfect blend of great food and top-notch service!“
“This was our first time here and everything was wonderful! All the staff was super nice and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Great for a family night out. The salad bowl was fresh and the birria tacos were delish! The quesadilla was a nice size that you can get with or without the beans and rice (which were also really good!) The salsa was fresh and chunky with a small bit of kick. Highly recommend the brownie or fried ice cream for dessert. No nuts on the brownie and drizzled with chocolate, it also came with a nice scoop of ice cream. The fried ice cream sat in a light cinnamon sugar dusted shell which was really nice for scooping. Would happily come back again next time we’re over here!Kid-friendliness: Large space with a very nice family friendly atmosphere !“
“This is my favorite location of this restaurant. They have the best decoration, they don’t blast the music to deafening levels, the staff is friendly and efficient. Last time I had the jalapeño margarita (so so good). The trio of dips for appetizer is also great if you’re with a group. Or if you just want drinks and something to snack on.“
“11/22/23 LunchThe place had Latino music going, a little too loud for my taste. The service was quick, though I was alone in the place and sat at the bar. I ordered chili relleno. It was not long before it was served. I had been given chips and a red salsa. The chips were fine, crispy and mildly warm. The chili relleno was good, as was the rice and ground beef that came with it.I was happy with the meal and the price. I would go again.“
“The food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. Downtown Covington has a lot of gems. This is definitely one for Mexican. The owners are great people, and they came to check on our table and service while dining here. I've only been during lunch, and it has always been a lunch rush because of the location and how great the food is. They have expanded, and there is an outdoor seating. The seating inside next to the bar can be a bit tight but the food and service makes it worth it. Since they've opened in covington a few years ago we usually go on Fridays as they give first responder discounts. They are generous with the servings and the carne asde pastor is unbelievable. This is the home another great place to get a fajita burrito.“
“The flautas are great especially dipped in queso. My family member got a El Pastor Torta which tasted like heaven in a bite! Also the paintings are nice. One thing I have to say is the tables are broken. Still a 5/5Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere isn't not kid friendly and the people are nice nor loud.Parking: Some how there is always at least 5 parking spots open even though there isn't many I'm general and the food is great.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for the disabled.“
“What a surprise!! It's bright and welcoming! Chili rellenos were delicious and huge! Just the right amount of bite and lots of cheese! Cucumber Margarita was freshly made and delicious! On the rocks only! Service was friendly!! Music outside sounded great but it was too cold for me!! I'll be back to try more menu items!“
“I mean....I am one of those hard to please customers. We came in pretty late, almost closing on a Monday. Food was amazing, especially the queso blanco. Our server, Blake, I think his name was, was SO attentive and personable. Even brought us wipes to get the honey off our fingers. Great young man!“
“Been coming here since I was 11 and now I'm 18 and still eat here all the time! Amazing food, Amazon Atmosphere, and most of all absolutely stunning service and employees! Mr. Carlos is so friendly and all of the servers are awesome! Recommended 10/10!!“
“I've been looking for Birria Taco, Pizza, Noodles! And it's all here ! Food is fast and flavorful I stuffed myself ordering all I could gotta go back for round 2. Service is very nice and patient answering all our questions. The ambiance is homely and alive super cute place. Me and my fiancé will be back to try everything we didn't get a chance to !!“
“Went through the drive through for lunch. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito with no pico and the sour cream on the side, and a birria quesadilla. The burrito was delicious and would get two next time. Great price on the burrito. I enjoyed the birria quesadilla although I should have asked for some more ingredients (my fault). My order came quick, the staff was pleasant. I will stop there again whenever I pass through on my trips.“
“Food was amazing! Fresh, hot, & service was on point! You can tell that they properly clean their food & kitchen! Now one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food!Kid-friendliness: Kids really enjoy the food & the atmosphere!“
