“Today I went in a lil mad cuz I didn’t have much time for lunch. They took care of me quick and efficiently. I ordered the large side of Guac with chips thru the line and I ordered the quesadilla online and everything was fresh hot and ready. The Guac was extra good today. I asked the guy servicing and cash name and it was Sabastion and the cash guy was blais the whole crew was nice and welcoming they made my day better.“

“If you're hunting for a decent taco fix in NOLA, Barracuda Taco Stand is a neighborhood gem worth checking out. It features a great margarita garden with outdoor dining and takeout options. A quick heads-up: expect a line, and the outdoor waiting area has absolutely no shade. Fortunately, the ordering counter is well-covered, and the patio is equipped with fans and a good mix of shaded seating to help you beat the heat.

On to the food. Every taco is served on a fresh flour tortilla and paired with classic cilantro, onion, and lime. I tried the Crispy Fish and the Pork tacos, and the flavor profiles were distinct. The fish taco featured a great crunch from the beer-battered Louisiana catfish, balanced by shredded cabbage, homemade crema, a seriously spicy salsa macha, and sweet pops of pomegranate. However, the pork taco was the best of the two, packed with savory roasted pork, chicharrones, tangy pickled red onion, and a great green salsa on the side. I have pretty high standards for tacos, and while I've had better, Barracuda definitely delivers an enjoyable meal in a city where great taquerias can be hard to find.“

Not that many places were close to our hotel because there was limited free parking there and we didn’t want to lose our spot by driving the car. This place was recommended to us by the hotel clerk and it did NOT disappoint in any way. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Taylor. Easily the best waiter I’ve ever had. We ate guacamole, salsa and chips. The guacamole was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We had a tropical swirl margarita and it was fabulous. Taylor checked on us four or five times easily during our time there. We got an order to go and it was just as delicious when we got back to our hotel as if we were eating it fresh in the restaurant. My son said hands down he will eat there without question every time he is in NOLA for any reason. Highly recommend this place and would specifically ask for Taylor by name and sit in his section, wherever it was. Solid 10/10. Would give it well over five stars.“

“This place is a typical hole-in-the-wall (small and older looking) but the food and service is fantastic. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because I knew what I was getting into, but this is not a place to go for atmosphere. Lol.

“This place has been around for a few years but I went back last night for a girls night and let me tell you they were amazing . I noticed that they changed the way they plated the food and added a few touches like grilled pineapple & an edible flower . I don’t remember the guys name who served us but it was his first day and he was perfect ! He got all of our orders correct , made all 12 of us our special alcoholic beverages in a timely manner . He was very sweet & friendly . The vibe was perfect ! 10/10 🥰“

“I have been coming here for 20 years or close to it. I love the hamburgers, garbage can nachos, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, spinach and shrimp quesadillas, ribs, and recently discovered the Baja taco with salmon this summer. That’s my favorite go to meal now!!! I usually got a margarita on the rocks with dinner. But changed it up with a watermelon daiquiri with tajin on the rim. Delicious! This was one of my mom’s favorite places too. I sure miss going there with her sharing a hamburger together and having margaritas. Great neighborhood restaurant.“

“We have enjoyed their food for many years, however something has changed. Their enchiladas are no longer the same. The last time we got them they were raw tortillas with meet inside and some sauce on top. There weren't placed in an oven and covered with sauce and cheese like they use to be. It's disgusting to serve something like this to customers. We will be looking elsewhere unless this changes.“
