“This place has been around for a few years but I went back last night for a girls night and let me tell you they were amazing . I noticed that they changed the way they plated the food and added a few touches like grilled pineapple & an edible flower . I don’t remember the guys name who served us but it was his first day and he was perfect ! He got all of our orders correct , made all 12 of us our special alcoholic beverages in a timely manner . He was very sweet & friendly . The vibe was perfect ! 10/10 🥰“

The guy taking my order suggested the steak, but actually I liked the chicken even more.

The green sauce they had was FIRE.

BUT I got a chips and queso and I was not impressed. It tasted like melted American. But burnt or something.

But maybe it was just an off day. Either way I would highly recommend this place if you are in Algiers Point!“

“Visited on Dec 30. Why eat Mexican when in Nola? Because it is world class. Easily a top 5 meal and I have a long list of amazing restaurants visited. I’ll start with the end. Get the desserts. Save room. They are amazing. We opted for both the FLAN and the MASA TRES LECHES. The latter was moist, light and life changing. The flan was rich and fulfilling. The menu is small but MIGHTY. The cocktails were well thought out and varied. We started with the AGUACHILES VERDE and TUNA TOSTADA. Both were fresh, flavorful and authentic. A few bites each for two of us. For the main portions, we chose the CHOCHOYOTES and ARROZ NEGRO. The former is a Mexican influenced play on southern collared greens. More of a side but amazing on its own. A very worthy pair to the main character of this meal, the ARROZ NEGRO. Corn smut sounds terrible but it is delicious. The mussels, squid and shrimp add a Nola flair to this amazing dish. It is very rich and a solid portion. Flavors and texture for days. Plus a bit of umami from the huitlacoche. It is a bit pricy. Total before tip for 2 of us was $250. That included 5 cocktails, 4 dishes and 2 desserts.“

“If you're hunting for a decent taco fix in NOLA, Barracuda Taco Stand is a neighborhood gem worth checking out. It features a great margarita garden with outdoor dining and takeout options. A quick heads-up: expect a line, and the outdoor waiting area has absolutely no shade. Fortunately, the ordering counter is well-covered, and the patio is equipped with fans and a good mix of shaded seating to help you beat the heat.

On to the food. Every taco is served on a fresh flour tortilla and paired with classic cilantro, onion, and lime. I tried the Crispy Fish and the Pork tacos, and the flavor profiles were distinct. The fish taco featured a great crunch from the beer-battered Louisiana catfish, balanced by shredded cabbage, homemade crema, a seriously spicy salsa macha, and sweet pops of pomegranate. However, the pork taco was the best of the two, packed with savory roasted pork, chicharrones, tangy pickled red onion, and a great green salsa on the side. I have pretty high standards for tacos, and while I've had better, Barracuda definitely delivers an enjoyable meal in a city where great taquerias can be hard to find.“

“This place is a little hidden because of the market barriers they have put up but it was SOOOO good. The beans were so tasty and different than what we’re used to. Chips and salsa were great. “We live in Mississippi but drove to New Orleans to spend the night. Not that many places were close to our hotel because there was limited free parking there and we didn’t want to lose our spot by driving the car. This place was recommended to us by the hotel clerk and it did NOT disappoint in any way. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Taylor. Easily the best waiter I’ve ever had. We ate guacamole, salsa and chips. The guacamole was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We had a tropical swirl margarita and it was fabulous. Taylor checked on us four or five times easily during our time there. We got an order to go and it was just as delicious when we got back to our hotel as if we were eating it fresh in the restaurant. My son said hands down he will eat there without question every time he is in NOLA for any reason. Highly recommend this place and would specifically ask for Taylor by name and sit in his section, wherever it was. Solid 10/10. Would give it well over five stars.“

“This place is a typical hole-in-the-wall (small and older looking) but the food and service is fantastic. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because I knew what I was getting into, but this is not a place to go for atmosphere. Lol.

I had the burrito asada with rice and beans, and it was large enough that I cut it in half and brought the rest home for another meal. Chips and salsa are extra - but the salsa is worth it!“

“We are huge fans of Pepe’s and dine in and do carry out often. We decided this year to try out their catering for a large family holiday gathering. I can’t say enough great things about them! Everything was nicely packaged, quantities were MORE than enough! Everything was delicious! It was a HUGE hit and we will absolutely be ordering catering again. Erica was so easy to work with!“

“I have been coming here for 20 years or close to it. I love the hamburgers, garbage can nachos, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, spinach and shrimp quesadillas, ribs, and recently discovered the Baja taco with salmon this summer. That’s my favorite go to meal now!!! I usually got a margarita on the rocks with dinner. But changed it up with a watermelon daiquiri with tajin on the rim. Delicious! This was one of my mom’s favorite places too. I sure miss going there with her sharing a hamburger together and having margaritas. Great neighborhood restaurant.“
