“My client (local) said this was his favorite restaurant in all of Louisiana, and it delivered. Off the beaten path but not too far, with an authentic ambiance you can "feel" as much as see. Service was excellent (shoutout to Sam B.), knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming. I had a spicy bread bowl appetizer, Roberto's crab entree, and the black tuxedo pie a la mode dessert. Left with a full stomach and a happy experience. More of a nice memory than just a meal. Go for it.“

“I absolutely love coming here except for the wait time if you are with a group. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with sweet potato mash and coleslaw. The food was good however the mash was almost cold. I also ordered an old man by the sea as my drink and it was delicious“

“I ordered Shrimp and Grits they were phenomenal the boudin balls crusted with crushed cracklin were a little mushy and were kind of sweet. The place was made to look high end but lacked some ambiance. The home made bread was fantastic but they only bring one and did not offer more unless you ask. The server otherwise was very attentive, I would go back again.“

“Easily the best salmon I've ever eaten. the server (I can't remember his name but he was a history teacher primarily) was amazing and very engaging with us. he even had no problem going back and forth between the kitchen and our table to ensure my dairy-free girlfriend could still have something delicious. truly a restaurant worth returning to if you are in the area.“

“Was in town traveling on work and had a group dinner here. It was a beautiful night so we were able to sit upstairs on the patio. The location has a lot of seating.The music was a little bit loud, but that tends to go with the atmosphere.We had, several appetizers and all were tasty. Our group especially liked the grilled alligator.I ordered the catfish with crawfish etouffee. It was a lot but it was soooo tasty.Our server was prompt and attentive to our group.“

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!“

“Oh man, this is place is dangerous. Best seafood I've ever had, not just in Louisiana, but in my entire life. Freshness is one thing but that flavor cannot be beat. We went with our server's recommendations of the various daily specials and each entree knocked it out of the park. I genuinely cannot understand how something can be this good. A real gem in Baton Rouge. We contemplated coming back a second time during our very short trip because we feared nothing would live up to it- obviously untrue, such amazing food all around in the South - but an absolute must for anyone visiting the area.“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“Delicious fresh food. We had the gumbo and potato salad and it was the bomb. It was full of chunks of chicken and sausage and the tater salad was greatIt's a family business and the people were super friendly. If you're craving a reasonably priced bowl of delicious after your Costco run, these guys are the ticket.“

“What a cool place...This was a great choice for dinner. It has really cool decor and a great environment. It is casual but upscale where you go there to watch sports, have a business meeting, or even a date. The service was off the hook awesome - Emily is a Rockstar waitress. The food was delicious. We had the gator bits as an appetizer. I had the catfish lebeaux, which was great. My friend had the delta queen and really enjoyed it. This is a great place to have a great meal.“

The evening of event Rhett "the captain" along with Carter, and Conner provided exceptional service! “Great Food and Great Atmosphere!! Had my daughter's LSU Graduation lunch here and Stacey, the general manager, could not have been more accommodating. Terrence, our server, was awesome!! “So yeah! We volunteered today at an event at the Hotel today. I had not eaten much of anything. I was told that the food here was good. And ya'll, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!!! I clearly forgot to take a picture of our foods. I asked the gentleman what would he recommend, he suggested the Louisiana chicken it came with roasted potatoes & broccoli. I also had a cup of gumbo, it had duck in it, I thought that it was beef. Lol, first time eating duck. It was delicious. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS & WELL SEASONED, my hub had garlic parm chicken wings. For dessert we somewhat shared the bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream on top. Oh oh oh and with my dish it also came with a corn dish. It was delicious! We've NEVER had food this tasty inside ANY hotel. Shout out to the Chefs who prepared the food & the servers, Topher & Blue. We definitely recommend this spot & we definitely will come back when we pull thru.Ya'll come & see.“

“Seafood was really good. Crab legs were good size. Crawfish were tiny but still good. They also did not have any blue crabs so they substituted head on shrimp. I dinged them one star because They did not inform me they were out of blue crab at the time that I ordered nor did they ask me what I would like to substitute it with.. I may have ordered something else. Or chose something else other than head on shtimp as the replacement item“

“I’m fairly new to University Seafood and I absolutely love the crawfish. They are always hot and just enough spice. The flavor is amazing, please don’t ever change your recipe. It’s my “go-to” now. Used to be Tony’s Seafood, but now it’s University Seafood! They are consistent. Been there 4 times now. And every time they are absolutely delicious. Thank you!“

“Love this Walk On's location. This location is better than the one located down corporate in town center. We had a very nice waitress, I don't remember her name but she had blonde curly hair. She was super sweet and made our experience great. We went on college night which was super packed and busy but our burger came out in a reasonable amount of time. College night is a great deal. The scholarship burger is only $5 and comes with fries and toppings. The burger was a little pink in the middle but is understandable with how many burgers they were probably cooking that afternoon. Loved that our waitress kept checking up on us and making sure we didn't need anything else.“

“Service is great. Food comes quick. Motzerella sticks way overcooked and nearly black on exterior. Menu has changed (somewhat disappointed) and prices have gone up noticeably. Lots of TVs to watch sports but bar is usually crowded with regulars. Overall good place and food consistently ok.“

“It was an excellent experience for someone traveling thru the area. The server was having some issues with a table she was serving, but someone stepped in to get us started. Both were charming and put up with my light-heartedness and smiled genuinely, despite any feelings carrying over from the difficult table. Food was excellent and well prepared. Plenty of space for parking and between tables.“

“Had ground steak and mashed potatoes. The serving was plentiful. Gave it 4 stars because the food could've used more seasoning and it was a bit cold. Also, the coconut pie was a little lackluster. Good local spot though for homemade food.“

“Our first time ordering and eating from Berthelot’s. We ordered ice chest special plus some extra crawfish. The price was amazing and the crawfish were SOOOOO GOOOOOD. we will be back. Out of the 40 pounds we bought I have a small bowl of crawfish left. No one was disappointed!!! Thanks so much for great service and excellent crawfish. We definitely give you a 15 out of 10 stars!!!“
