“Just got home with a large bucket of jamblaya and opened up and made me a plate. It looked good but the rice was lacking flavor and there wasnt enough meat in it. Been here a bunch of times since I quit going to jambalaya shop years ago when they quit putting barely any sausage in it. Not worth the money I spent. Guess they going downhill too. Id try somewhere else. Edit**** They made it right by giving me a free bucket of jambalaya seasoned like it usually is and I appreciate that, so I recommend them.“

“Easily the best salmon I've ever eaten. the server (I can't remember his name but he was a history teacher primarily) was amazing and very engaging with us. he even had no problem going back and forth between the kitchen and our table to ensure my dairy-free girlfriend could still have something delicious. truly a restaurant worth returning to if you are in the area.“

“I just want to share how amazing you all's food is! We just had lunch at our office and a rep ordered plate lunches from you all and it was delicious. I feel like I was back home at my parents in country. Gravy and rice was the best and meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Will visit soon.“

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!“

“I have to say yall have the best customer service ♡ we drove an hour to get both cracklins and some crawfish pies. Our ETA was a few minutes before closing time & I was able to place my order over the phone. Customer Service & Food Quality is hands down 5++ Stars!!!“

“Stopped by the O’Neal location after work last night to grab something to go. Got the pastalaya dinner plate. The pastalaya was hot, fresh, wonderfully seasoned and absolutely delicious. The potato salad was cold and creamy, a spectacular accompaniment to my main dish. The service from the staff was fast and friendly. Love this location of Rice and Roux.“

“My friend and I arrived 20 mins til closing and they were out of most menu items, but we're pretty easy going and just really wanted to try some good, quick Cajun food on our trip through the state. This place had just that! We were greeted by friendly staff, even as they cleaned and prepared to go home. They didn't mind us coming in late and helped us decide, since we are not familiar with the area or the menu. The food was delicious and affordable (I am currently trying to deconstruct the potato salad, in order to figure out the recipe). Generous portions, balanced flavor and right amount of spice for this wayward wanderer. What the establishment lacked in atmosphere, it made up for in service, flavor, and efficiency. I would definitely return if the opportunity presents itself.“

“20240330 The young lady working tonight was very friendly. I got the 1.5 lb platter, and it was plenty of food for a little over $17 paid in cash, with no 3% credit card fee. Everything was great. The only complaint is that it was difficult to peel the crawfish. They were stuck to the shell, and can't be pulled out of the shell. Also, when I tried, the meat break apart. All but 2 were on the smaller size, and not satisfying when eaten 1 at a time. The spices were good and spicy!“

“First time eating here I think... I ordered a double cheeseburger meal. Burger was so big I couldn't eat but half! Fries were hot and fresh. But the ultimate win was mayo on top AND bottom bun..now even Burger King doesn't do that!!!! I'll definitely be back!“

“The best hole in the wall Cajun food! You can’t sit inside to eat but they offer a picnic table outside to sit at. We had Shrimp po-boy, gumbo, meat pies, boiled shrimp, wings, and boiled eggs (to die for!). We’ll be back next time we pass thru! Plus there is a great old-school barber shop right next door!“

“Bayou Effect 10/10?I ordered the Seafood Pasta +Sweet Chili Wings . Along with Seafood Potato +Fish . The servings perfect for the price ! The pasta with the crawfish tails in the Alfredo sauce was perfect. I’d actually recommend the same cheese sauce for the seafood potato , which was very good as well. The wings were cooked perfectly and the sweet chili sauce is finger licking good ! And the fish was very crispy and seasoned!“
