“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“

“A geoup of 8 of us came through on vacation and made this our first stop. We had the pleasure of having Mel as our bartender and she made the best bloody mary that any of us had had in our lives! That includes all the ones we had throughout the city during our week there. Some of us came back the next day and a different bartender admitted he couldnt make bloody marys like Mel. This place gave us the best welcoming to the city. The only downside is that there's no number to call so I can ask how she made them. Thanks again!“

“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“Live music most nights and rarely a cover. Hefty cocktails, good beer selection. Decent prices. Friendly bartenders who know where the milkbones are kept.
It's the neighborhood bar that's been on the River Road on the Westbank of the Mississippi in New Orleans for decades.
Good bands.
Off the NOLA beaten path and worth it.
Longest running Open Mic Night in the city. 12+ years on Wednesday nights. Good weekend afternoon acts too.
Parking: Great local bar with a friendly atmosphere and good music.
Yes, dance floor and ample stage for bigger bands, and a good sound system.“
“what a fun dive bar this place is! i loved all the saturn-related jokes and decor around the place as well. we were here during a live piano performance and had a grand time soaking in the musical experience while sipping on our beers and ciders.“

“An absolute gem of a bar - by far my favourite spot from our visit to New Orleans. David and Vincent were both absolute gentlemen - we received one of the friendliest welcomes we've ever been lucky enough to receive and spent the evening swapping stories and writing down recommendations. If you're looking for an authentic dive bar bursting with southern hospitality and festive charm, look no further.“

“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.“
“Bartenders are awesome!! Especially to out of town customers. They make you feel like one of the regulars, like a resident. Absolutely one of the best customer service I've ever had.“

“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! It's kind of like the New Orleans version of Cheers LOL I just hope at some point they will have karaoke on the weekends but I will definitely be frequenting there more often from now on.“

“February 19th, 2020. Husband's 50th. Wanted a Mardi Gras birthday. He went to 'Bead & Boobs' on Bourbon whilst my short self wandered in this bar mid afternoon. I found a bar stool, kicked back and let Houla introduce me to a lovely spiced rum which became my companion the rest of the evening. The bar itself was clean, bathrooms were kept up and had a slappin playlist pumping. I watched drunken drama come in and out: a young couple saddled up and in mid drink the boyfriend realized he was surrounded by gays so he bolted, a gentleman asked me to babysit his darling Yorkie while he drained his snake, but the best was watching Houla superhero himself over the bar to rescue a very intoxicated woman from a total creep. That was legend! Enjoyed my 7 hour stay. Everyone needs to be here!!“

“Lovveee the affordable Long Islands! They’re strong too whewww lol! Burgers are biggg and I’d give it about a 3.8/5! Love how laid back it is! Will be back!10/15 update - revisited this spot again! Super friendly staff, chill and lowkey vibes which is why I like it here! I sit outside because they do allow smoking inside the building! Those jalapeño peppers were the best I’ve ever tasted (you get 6 of them) and I can’t forget about the Long Islands! I like them!“
“If you are ever on the West Bank in NOLA.....you have to try this place. It has been there forever and my dad used to go there when he was stationed in NOLA while serving in the Marine Corp. and that was back in the 70's. Try their bloody marys. They are my fav!“
“Loved spending time at QiQi! Will be a must stop every time I’m back in NOLA! It’s a place where you’ll make instant friends!“
“Fresh off the boat seafood ! And everything is homemade !“
“Recently stopped by because a friend moved into the neighborhood. This is a really odd but interesting neighborhood bar. It's almost invisible during daylight hours because it's built on the side of what is obviously a house and the only signage seems to be neon signs in the windows which are covered with bars and not really visible during daylight hours. However at night the neon signs in the small windows really show up and they also have multicolored twinkle lights All along the outside walls of the building, on the bar part.Bartender Mary was very friendly. Drinks were very reasonably priced and will poured.Atmosphere... not the most up-to-date bar in town, but that's part of its charm. Definitely a place locals can go to in whatever attire they have on. Wouldn't be surprised if people felt comfortable going there in the pajamas, it's just that kind of place. This is a bar only, no food is served here. I was advised that they only took cash which is something you need to know. Don't plan on stopping here and running a tab on a card.“
“Had a good time the bartender was great thank you Cali. Not sure if that’s how you spell her name I plan on going back.“

“Nice little neighborhood 24/7 dive bar with neighborhood people (daytime and most nights) who all know each other. Almost family-like. Avoid nights Friday thru Sunday if you are looking for that same feel. It can be extremely loud with not-so-neighborhood people.“

“The swamp was so awesome we literally went there all 4 nights of our stay! It was mostly the staff we loved! Brown Sugar (excuse me for not knowing your actual name) was the best experience we had during our entire stay!! This woman is fun and freaky! She knows exactly how to finesse people lol. We loved her so much! We visited her 3 times during our stay! Sarah was friendly and fun! The manager, Mike was very sweet to us as well. Can't wait to come back!“

“I’ve heard the bartenders are great here and this is the place. I went Monday night, the bartender was ugly af. He knocked over a whole glass of wine on my friend and was unapologetic. Then charge my friend $6 for a Water. He said he was new lol We are service industry, we tip. The disrespect is not okay.“
