Similar to food you can find in Chinatown. I’d recommend the Tom Yum Fried Rice, Walnut Shrimp, Popcorn Chicken, and the Portuguese Curry. Wouldn’t recommend the Curry Chicken Rice Cube, it was very mild and lacked any spice. Overall, it’s great to see some good Chinese food in Allston, especially when it looks nice too.“

“My husband (who is vegan) and I were in the Boston/Cambridge area for work and selected Base Crave for our first meal out. We met two people from his job and noticed that the place was empty except for us and the staff. That worried me, but after eating, my only thought was “people need to eat here! They don’t know what they’re missing!” The 4 of us ordered vegetarian mo mo (omg - yum!), vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala (I didn’t try it but was told it was good), Tofu Mushroom stir-fry chilies mild which was okay, probably because we got it mild, Plantain curry (my hubby says fabulous!), plain naan (very good), and the Mushroom Stir-fry Noodles, mild. My husband and I agreed that the best things on the table were the Mo mo and the stir-fry noodles, both had fabulous flavor! We definitely recommend this place and would love to eat there again!“

“There were two of us and this was our first time at this restaurant. Therefore we ordered the Chef's Choice for Two. The food and the experience was nice but we needed a bit more to eat. We ordered their Beef Sushi which initially comes with the meal.
A bit pricey for what it is but also a bit touristy as well.“

“I’m honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through the experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It’s easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair?

For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I’m very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what “real” Beef Rendang is. I don’t even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say “that’s not how my grandmother makes it” (lol).

What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn’t so often omitted). “Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one”.

That definitely applies here with their style of food. There’s a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!“

They are very upfront with the fact that you must order a drink/side to “unlock” the wings. $10 each for beer and another $10 for some wings, each wing uniquely large and delicious. “Got lunch here for the first time while working on the field in the Harvard IT department. I work around the West Campus a lot so I'm looking for more lunch spots. The kiosk is easy to use and navigate, the wait time was short. The pho was great and made for a nice warm bowl of broth and noodles in this cold weather. The noodles are well cooked. The broth was hot and had good seasoning. Lots of toppings and meat. My note of no lime and ginger was fulfilled.

However, my only complaint is that I also ordered a Brown Sugar boba milk tea and had to immediately spit it out as the taste of spoiled milk hit. I had my colleague at the office try it and he too also noticed it didn't taste like Brown Sugar boba milk tea and compared it to spoiled milk. I'm not going to give a 1 star because the review doesn't deserve that, but just a -1 for my drink. Might try again another day...but thanks for reading my review!“

“We have been ordering from Sono for many years, since they first opened. After a hiatus due to unrelated circumstances, we began ordering from Sono again and wondered why we ever stopped. The sushi is consistently fresh and prices are reasonable, and they outdo the larger name chains in the local area. Highly recommended.“

“DoorDash has a good two for one deal. I’ve tried another dish at a different location before and liked it. This time I got the Spicy Chicken Karahi ($11.85). It was indeed spicy. Some pieces of chicken were dry, and I would have liked more green beans, but the portion size was filling. It also came with some random crackers, but I liked them.“

“I ordered the quesadillas and miso soup and have to say it was the best quesadillas I have ever had. The meat had so much flavor and there was plenty of sauce to make it even better. The miso soup was wonderful and stayed very warm even after I ordered it and hour before I ate it. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back“
