“Hot fresh bagels with lots of seeds or toppings on them. It’s purely takeout so even if you only want one bagel get three with a schmear and have a party. They don’t have a place to sit, but there are plenty of spots nearby. Go across the street to the Commonwealth pier and enjoy a bagel with a view.“

“I live in Bar Harbor, Maine, and one of my guests staying with us offered me a homemade bagel from this establishment. It's one of the best poppy seed bagels I've had in a long time, and the homemade chive cream cheese pairs so perfectly with the smoked salmon. It made my day eating this bagel after work. I love lox. It's one of the sweetest gifts a guest has ever given me. 💕 When I travel the coast looking at lighthouses this winter, this bagel shop will definitely be on my places to stop. “Bagels are absolutely awesome here! It came fresh out of the oven, the plain one in particular I ordered the sesame, every thing bagel and the plain one. Each one of them have their own individual flavor to explore, and I really enjoyed all of them. Me and my mom had some issues figuring out how to order but one of the servers were extremely polite and offered to explain to us. They gave us also a big tub of cream cheese, which is quite surprising for me personally as a foreigner. The atmosphere was also very nice as it seems like the decoration made the whole shop very suitable to its name as it pops up! Overall, I really recommend to try this place if you want a quick bite touring or visiting or studying around Harvard.“

“This place is amazing. I walked in for the first time today and everyone was so nice. Got taken care of by Alexis and Keisha who are both so nice and Alexis gave me a rundown of the entire menu in less than a minute making it easy for me to order. “Just finished eating a plain bagel with jalapeño cream cheese here I almost didn't go because I know their bagels are best when they're fresh and it's getting close to two in the afternoon, but there's a spot out front so I figured I'd try anyway, and just my luck they had a fresh batch of plain bagels that just finished cooking. They were just as good as I remember them being in high school and honestly, the shop looks almost exactly; the same staff are friendly as always and I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Needham. “My favorite bagel with lox - perfect every time!“

“Got a variety of tarts (classic egg, strawberry custard egg, jasmine matcha tart) and a strawberry matcha latte on a Monday afternoon after lunch nearby. There was a promo where if you buy 2 tarts you get 1 free. My favs were the strawberry matcha latte and jasmine matcha tart.

The strawberry jam/syrup is the best part of the drink, perfectly tart and just sweet enough. It even has chunks of strawberry in there that were really good. Make sure to grab the thicker straw if you get this drink so you can mash the chunks of berries down more.

Jasmine matcha tart had mochi and adzuki paste in it. Mochi was more like the milk mochi texture that you can get in some shops, so gooey-er and I thought it went well with the other textures. There was a decent amount of bean paste in there, which I really liked but for people who don't like beans at all, maybe skip because you could feel a bit of that texture. Tastewise, I noticed more jasmine matcha and cream than the adzuki. I hope this is a staple because I would plan to get this every time I visit in the future.“

“I have been going to Bagels Best since I was a kid with my grandfather every morning after I slept over. They have had the best bagels by a long shot and I have traveled across the state to get their bagels, breakfast bagel, and smoked salmon which is spectacular! Such great food in a great establishment run by amazing people who care about their customers. Highly recommended!!“

“Kupel’s is one, if not the best, bagel spots in Boston. Everything is fresh made the morning of, and they early open at 6am. Any left over bagels from the day prior are sold for a massive discount. The bagels are so perfectly fluffy, chewy, with a nice exterior.

The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. For example, every time I walk in early in the morning, Ruthy greets me with my usual order of coffee. That kind of service is rare in today’s world and just serves as an example of how friendly the culture is.

“The BYO lox bagel. Btw not an issue at all that the toppings were on the side. It was 10/10 the best I’ve ever had. Came with the right amount of everything so if you wanted more or less, it was up to you. Ofc onion, tomato and capers. Suggest with jalapeño cheddar and scallion CC. Corporate says that because this is a licensed store, they can choose not to....buyer beware for here and ANY location that is licensed on a college campus, airport or mall. They apologized and have only a handful of locations in the USA that will take a gift card. 😢“

“A hidden neighborhood gem we discovered while visiting Boston this past weekend. Our hotel was situated in a bit of a no-man’s land that made it difficult to do our usual walking to find good coffee in the AM but I’m glad we persisted. I found the Black Sheep Market after a refusal for settling for DD coffee. This spot was a brisk 10 min walk from our hotel- we got there shortly after doors opened on Sunday and while coffee drew us in we quickly discovered their incredibly solid selection of store made donuts and baked goods. I am going to be dreaming about the Boston Creme donut I left with for some time. Nothing better on the planet when it comes to donuts than that one right there. My husband ordered a cinnamon and sugar donut which he exclaimed melted in his mouth, and for our son who had been studying French- a chocolate croissant- delectable! The coffee - the reason we went at all- was hot, fresh, and delicious. Also warmed our hands on the cold walk back to the hotel for a bonus! The shop itself offered a wide variety of other goods - which we didn’t need that particular morning, but I’d love to have just around the corner if I lived in this Cambridge area neighborhood.

I got a lime Ricky. It's the greatest. The staff always had a big smile always seats outside everything's fresh. I've taken home pumpernickel bagels. I come here with joy my heart.“
