“I picked the place at random because it was close to where I was staying and I'm glad I did. The staff is efficient and friendly. The menu offers quite a few choices for such a small place. And the food is excellent. I had the scallops the first night. They were quite fresh and well prepared. Tonight I'm having the muffuletta and it too is delicious.“

From the moment our waitress, Selesia, introduced herself to us, until we left the restaurant with a hug, her attentiveness and patience was exemplary. The food and ambiance were outstanding. The appetizers, antipasto di Norcino, calamari and bruschetta were delicious. Entrees that we had included the braised short ribs, which was so tender no knife was needed, gnocchi, bolognese and calce di pepe were all thoroughly enjoyed and no "doggie bags" were needed. I highly recommend Il Ponte and we will return.“

“Buono! You feel the warmth of this BYOB establishment the minute you walk through the door. The owner (Brazilian w/North End restaurant experience) greeted everyone picking up take out or arriving for their reservation. Staff, including the owner, worked as family to take orders, deliver and turn over tables to ensure every request was met. They made an effort to ask and remember our names as we said goodbye (reminded us of the Cheer's intro song). We took it as a sign that 'ran' is in their name and ran to take the first available reservation @ 4:00pm. The restaurant was full by 5:30pm. Given the hard surfaces it's loud, but reminiscent of childhood memories of dinner with my Italian neighbors. We enjoyed warm bread out of the oven w/olive oil & herbs, arancini sampler (one spinach & one bolognese) that were approaching baseball size, short rib gnocchi special & chicken marsala. The red sauce is absolutely delicious, the short rib melts in your mouth and the marsala sauce is one of the best I've had w/tender chicken. Portions are generous. We each took half of our entree home, but ended the evening by sharing an airy, creamy, delicious dessert named after the owner's daughter, Isa, w/coffee.“

“I’ve visited this restaurant 5 times in the past 6 months and can’t recommend it enough! The secret is in their sauce - all dishes are delicious. Being a vegetarian I was pleased to get great veg options. The service, vibe and food are all 5 star! Parking is a bit hassle but the cozy spot and dining makes up for it. “Our server was not paying attention to us for desert. Finally someone else came over to help us. Also we experienced the restaurant as very noisy. Yes it was full. Is there any sound deadening you could add. this will reduce our chances of coming bsck.“

“We have been here a bunch of times and the food is always delicious. The service is a little slow mostly cause they don't have a lot of staff. However, I'm pushy and can usually get my way and the attention of staff to assist me. We have sat at the bar and tables. They need to get better seats as they're not very comfortable to want to stay for a long time. The brick oven is great and the open kitchen is nice to see. This place is a little pricey so we kind of reserve it for a date night but everything and everywhere is pricey these days.“

Every year in June pizza fans from all over the country descend upon City Hall Plaza in Downtown Boston for the largest pizza festival in the USA. It's an annual Weekend Event with FREE ADMISSION! Over 20,000 people attended this past year. You purchase tickets & get samples of all different kinds of pizza from all over the Boston area. Then it's judging time. It's not some restaurant critic but hardcore pizza fans from all over the county who cast a vote for their favorite pizza in Boston. You can read my review of The Boston Pizza Festival for more details. Unfortunately by the time we got to the da LaPosta booth they were completely sold out! They were all very happy because y they won! So I had to put it on my To Do List & visit the restaurant in person at a later time. da LaPosta is located in Newton, Massachusetts about a half an hour outside of Boston. There's metered parking up and down the street and if you go on the side streets a few blocks over there's free street parking. I went on a Monday & accidentally stumbled upon this UNBELIEVABLE BARGAIN! INSIDE TIP They call it Margherita Mondays & instead of serving the famous cocktail, they serve their Award Wining Best in Boston Margherita Pizza for get this $10.00. They said it's not a Deal; IT'S A STEAL! It's regularly $20 but on Mondays it's 1/2 off @ l $10,00. They're absolutely right. It s a Steal 6 slices of Pizza for $10.00. That's less than $2.00 a slice. WOAH!! Now you can get this for both Dine In or Take Out! I got it for Take Out. It was DELICIOUSSSSS! The Hard Core Pizza Fans were right to give them The People's Choice Award! So if you're in the Boston area, you've got to check out the restaurant out. But especially hit this place up on Mondays. $10 bucks for the best pizza in Boston. A STEAL! It's a very nice sized modern restaurant with large windows & the have a bar inside as well. They have a full service menu with salads, appetizers, pizzas, main courses & desserts. I can't comment on my of that because I just got the Margherita Pizza that's all. They'll also be @ the Boston Pizza Festival again this year defending their tile & tying to squash the competition. LOL! “Delicious restaurant.My friend and I had the sirloin tips and chicken breasts. Juicy, cooked perfectly, and fantastic. Another friend had the baked haddock, which was an enormous portion. She could barely finish it. That too was cooked perfect and very tasty!My only complaints...it was very loud. Difficult to hear our conversations. Also...the bathrooms are one person at a time. So my suggestion is to rush to one as soon as the 'urge' happens. “Excellent service- I had the chicken Marsala $18.00with $2 up charge for the homemade pasta. It was really good. My daughter really enjoyed the meatball sub. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. The desserts looked amazing but we were too full from the lunch. The coffee, it's not a new pot it's a keurig of some kind so I passed on the after dinner coffee.“

“Saturday date night with my wife. We didn't have a reservation but wanted to try it after seeing it on the phantom gourmet. The staff was very accommodating and got us seated right away. At first we ended up at the bar and enjoyed the Italian wedding soup and some arancini. Later they were able to move us to a table after a no-show reservation.For my main course I had the Pollo con crema and my wife had the vegetable risotto. Both dishes were excellent and we had enough leftover to take home.For dessert I had the Iris which is a fried donut stuffed with fresh ricotta and lemon zest. My wife enjoyed a pistachio canoli.Price was reasonable but there is a charge for paying with a card. The building is beautiful and the bathroom was spotless. Can't wait to go again.“

The Market Al Fresca in Tewksbury - four cheese lasagna - I don’t usually comment on other peoples lasagna because I like mine BUT this was absolutely delicious, so tasty and packed with cheese. Half of this tray fed three adults (it’s about a 6x9 tray) I can’t wait to try some of their other dinner offerings! I might never cook again!!! And they had gluten free offerings also. Of course I left with just baked bread still warm snd dessert as well. TRy it out I don’t think you will be disappointed!!!“

“The manager chatted with us about the food and drink, and at the end gave us a taste of a sake he thought would go well with a dish we had ordered. Very welcoming, connecting human-to-human. Everything was delicious, but the special tuna in puff pastry with avocado and caviar was astoundingly good! If that was on the regular menu we'd want to come frequently. Attractive decor. The owner curates a perfect little safe haven for guests. The music was phenomenal, service outstanding, food to die for, drinks exquisite, and atmosphere classy. My new go to Italian. I got 4 good sized slices for 3.99.They offered to heat it up for me, which I didn't expect.. we got slices with a couple different toppings since this was our first time there. It's a little out of the way for us- but now will be a new Go To for pizza. Full side chicken parm, eggplant parm, one meat ball, one sausage and lasagna. The sauce is top notch for sure as was each bite of each item. My husband prefers a meat lasagna but combined with the meatball he was for sure satisfied. If I had to pick one that item I could do without and that would be the eggplant parm but that's a personal preference. In the end 10/10. Will eat again. And to top the food, the service was outstanding as well.“

“I've been going to Mario's for probably 20 years and for standard, economical Italian fare it can't be beat. No reservations taken; in Lexington you go to the sign-in book, put down your name and the # in your party, and wait to be called. Long time customers know the best times to go to get seated right away; be prepared to wait most weekends at dinner time. I've sampled several things on the menu and my go-tos are either chicken parm with meat sauce (you can get everything marinara if you prefer) served with shells (you can choose spaghetti if you prefer) or pizza (best sauce ever) loaded with sausage, extra cheese, onions and black olives. All the portions are plentiful (I always take half home for leftovers) and always tasty. I've had the lasagna, which is huge but lacking in enough sauce for me (I'd order extra sauce if I were to get it again) and the ravioli which I have no complaints about. Bread is served to the table in the form of fresh rolls. I often get a side salad for dinner and did so last night. It's usually fresh and tasty but for some reason at 5pm the salad I served was limp and tasteless. Maybe left over from another day? The service is impeccable. The waitstaff take orders, deliver to tables, keep track of who's waiting to be seated and deliver them to a table when one becomes available. Orders are taken quickly, food is delivered hot. Fun fact: often during the summer students on vacation are working there, which makes for fun small talk. As you can imagine Mario's appeals to everyone; families, couples, singles, so don't expect a quiet, romantic ambiance where you can have a leisurely meal and a private discussion. When full the place is very lively. There is a large metered parking lot (2 hr max) directly behind the restaurant and a larger one behind that if you want to, say, also go to the Lexington Venue (movie theater) or visit the many shops in Lexington Center.“

“Yummy yummy pasta night! My bf surprised me by bringing me to this nice and cozy Italian restaurant in Arlington heights on Saturday night. It wasn't too busy so we were lucky to get a table. They only have a few tables so making a reservation would be a good idea. Soon after we were seated people started showing up and the tables were starting to fill up. We were served complimentary bread and olive oil which was very good while we decided on our dish. They had a few specials that were not on the menu and sounded delicious but we decided to try their shrimp pasta and their chicken cacciatore. We also ordered the house Nina salad which had delicious pears and a light and tangy vinaigrette dressing. The waiter was very nice and I also think he was the cook since you could see into the kitchen and there were only two people behind the counter.Our pasta dishes came out nice and hot and we quickly devoured them. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were nice and juicy and fully peeled. The shrimp pasta had a nice lemony and tangy flavor and there was plenty of sauce. The chicken cacciatore was also very good. The chicken was nice and tender and the pasta was super flavorful. They were even kind enough to bring us more bread so we could finish our sauces! The well-appointed outdoor terrace houses 6 tables that can seat about 20, making it ideal for groups and small parties. The interior comprises several cozy micro spaces that provide a feel of being a guest in a friend's Tuscan home. We started with an Arancini (a Sicilian street food made of risotto that's rolled into a ball, stuffed, breaded, and gently fried) wrapped on prosciutto and on a pillow of Mozzarella. Delicious. Next came a risotto with pan-seared scallops, shrimp, yellow and red cherry tomatoes, and lobster stock. Joyous. We tried a special of the evening: Fresh crab ravioli with marscapone and Parmegiani, lobster sauce and pea tendrils. I found this to be relatively bland and was the only true disappointment of the evening. The pièce de résistance was the next dish: Salt encrusted whole Bronzini, wood over roasted, accompanied by a "teeny" green and French pear salad, and whole roasted garlic. $36 and worth every penny. On the gratuitous side, I'd recommend the hot chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate ganache, which must be ordered a bit in advance. It held its shape, and will tickle your sweet tooth; very worth busting one's diet. Ask for Tim, one of the most accomplished waiters in the northeast, who won't disappoint in terms of service and knowledge. Overall, we enjoyed the execution of Campania's creative menu, its knowledgeable and attentive wait staff, and the warm, inviting decor. La Campania comes close to delivering on all the elements of a Michelin star establishment.“

“I've been eating there for 30 years. There must be new owners the food is still good and the subs are still huge but the prices are also huge and they don't give you as much as they used too . However I enjoyed my large chicken cutlet sub that was supposed to be toasted with extra cheese however no extra cheese not toasted it was still good. While the store's atmosphere is aging and in need of a little pick me up , it's nice that they make fresh pasta and have a selection of other Italian corner store goods for purchase. I got a deli meats sandwich (not an Italian). The meat was cut in front of me on a slicer and fresh , but I found the sandwich a bit salty, even for deli meat (maybe the bread or the meat ?) . Great service and a nice local business , even if the food I sampled wasn't at the top. I'd bet the pasta and the eggplant parm are great here. Maybe next time“
