“Not sure what the experience the other reviewers here had but we had an unbelievably amazing experience! The views were out of this world- nowhere else in Beverly can say the same. Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. We will definitely be back and would always request her. Food was amazing, huge portions, flavorful, and came out so quickly! A must in the area! The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!“

“What a great night! We thought we were going to a fundraiser, but after checking the ticket it’s next month🤦🏼‍♀️ So since we were ready for a night out we ventured to Swampscott to check out G Bar! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! Yummo!! Patrons were so nice, as was all the staff! Andrew was a great bartender and seemed to know everyone there! Great vibe, great food! “My wife and I have not had much luck with dining out lately so when it came to picking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner I was nervous that I would find the right place. I came across Nine Elm and read the reviews. They were amazing. So we made a reservation but I was still cautiously optimistic. Things could not have gone better! We arrived and where we were seated was noising, not what we wanted for an anniversary dinner. When I asked the waitress if there was a quieter spot she went to speak to the manager in we were moved immediately. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly but professional. The wine was lovely and the food delicious. We ordered the duck and the swordfish special and they were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we split a Creme Brule. The custard was light and creamy a pleasant surprise. We had an amazing time. We will be back!“

“Cala’s is the Bee’s Knees! I am blown away with the quality of food and especially the service! Golden nachos COVERED in tender pulled pork and fresh cheese, chicken tenders are hand battered and well seasoned, hand cut french fries cooked to perfection. Food and service have been superb, consistent, and dependable. Definitely a regular spot for us.“

“First time to Salem. Picked this bar out of the blue. I had an amazing Bartender ( Heather ) Absolutely amazing. Maybe my time there amazing. Next time I get a chance to visit I hope I get the same bartender. Food was good, the recommendation on the beer was awesome. I came all the way up from North Carolina. Never let Heather go! She is. “My husband and two of our closest friends came in for lunch yesterday and had a great first time experience Our server, Vie came over to us right away and greeted us, took our drink order and made me the best dirty martini I ever had. “this bar with the arcade is cool. I like the vintage games a lot. however, these bartenders suck. they don't know how to serve multiple people at a time. there's two events going on tonight so busy. I waited about five to ten minutes for literally just a today refill. and yes two people walked past as I flagged them down.“

“My girlfriend and I went to Post for burgers last night . The burgers were great and the beer awesome. I knew Post had a great beer selection, but I wasn’t expecting to see Doible Citra from Hill Farmstead on the beer list. Hill Farmstead is based in Vt and is one of the best breweries in the country. The Double Citra did not disappoint! We got there for an early dinner and there were some noisy little kids - who were completely unsupervised by their parents. That was the only complaint I had.“

“The staff was AMAZING!!! As someone who worked in the restaurant business for 28 years I was completely amazed at how the staff handled the crowd at the Freezin for a Reason fundraiser on Jan 1st. The place was completely jammed and they were so calm and accommodating. Someone was always there to take a drink order or whatever else you needed. We were there for the fundraiser, but we will absolutely be back to visit again! Thank you all so much for the great experience!!“

“I cannot say enough good things about Antique Table. The food is amazing, and service is fabulous. Great atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, and tons of food & beverage options. There are so many dining choices in Salem, and we return here time after time. Classic Italian with some interesting additions mixed in, like the Chicken Miguel. The eggplant rollatini is the best I’ve ever had. Large portions and reasonable pricing. Generous pours on cocktails. Even in October, when the city is incredibly busy, the food and service remain top notch.“

“I had the salmon and rice plate. It was good! The restaurant is a bit pricey, especially if you're not staying at the hotel it is inside of (if you are, maybe the convenience is worth it). Also, my vegetables were a bit overcooked. But it was seasoned well, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere is nice.“

The Lobster Shanty serves beer, ciders, and alcohol from local taprooms & distilleries like Notch, Downeast, Far From the Tree, and Deacon Giles.“

“I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“I have had many satisfying and delicious experiences at “The Nut” over the years (decades), and really enjoyed coming to 15 Walnut on my annual visit to my family. However, this time, the choice of loud heavy metal guitar playlist made conversation impossible, and the ubiquitous and obnoxious big screen tvs didn’t give us a moment of peace. I am done with giving my business to restaurants that intrude on even precious moments of connection and companionship. The service was extremely slow as well.“
