“If you like shellfish you'll love this place!! Take out or eat in!! The service is quick down to a system from the host to waitstaff to the kitchen!! This place cater to a mix of young adults and young professionals. It can get pretty busy and there maybe a waiting list expected at peak hour but it's worth the wait. The bathroom is clean and the decor is pretty basic.“
“Tuesday 1/24/23 on my lunch break at work in beacon hill, ordering here for the first time . I went with the 5pc mix chicken with a honey biscuit, also ordered 3 honey biscuits side order. I got 2 thighs, 1breast, 1wing, 1drumstick. The chicken had a well balance seasoning, very crispy not covered in heavy batter, chicken was cooked fully and moist inside very tasty was very happy with the quality and tasty of chicken! The honey biscuits where delicious it was sweet with a glazed over the top they had blueberry’s inside and like a cake not dry and very good! If you haven’t tried this spot it’s a must TRY! I was very satisfied with my lunch and ready to get back to work from my half hour break. Check out my pictures below!“
“One of the hidden gem in Dorchester area for Cajun seafood. Fresh and live seafood. Crawfish was big. All food was hot and freshly made. This restaurant is better than Loui cap’t. We ordered crawfish, shrimp and mussel with cajun flavor. Fried clamp strip. So good! Must try udon noodle with cajun sauce. No free tap water though. Definitely coming back.“
“? On Wednesday evening, I ventured to Cap’t Loui in Braintree with my brother and his girlfriend, eager to explore the buzz surrounding this chain restaurant. Despite not being a fervent seafood enthusiast—despite hailing from New England—I approached the experience with an open mind.? Our evening kicked off with their cocktail pouch drinks, an unexpected delight that masked their potency dangerously well. Definitely a must-try! 8/10. Now, onto the pièce de résistance—the seafood boil! The seafood boil has endless options from lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari etc. We got the shrimp and snow crab, drenched in their signature Capt Loui sauce. The customizable experience was a true delight! We also opted for corn and potatoes as our sides and made everything medium spice level (although you could go higher!) It’s messy, it’s interactive, but oh-so-worth it for the explosion of flavors! 8/10. Remember your bib and gloves to keep the sauce at bay!? As a delightful diversion, we sampled their garlic noodles—oozing with garlic and cheese—perfect for those seeking an alternative to seafood. 8/10.? And let’s not forget the crispy fried fish and chips basket, where each bite was a symphony of flavors, especially when paired with their Cajun tartar sauce. A solid 8/10.? Wrapping up our culinary journey, we indulged in the funnel cake fries with ice cream, a divine and shareable finale to our meal. 8/10.? In summary, Cap’t Loui offers a unique dining adventure even for those not fully immersed in the seafood scene. With locations in Braintree and Stoneham, it’s an experience worth embarking on.Food: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10 Ambiance: 8/10“
“The service was great! We were amazed by how sweet the workers were! Food was great of course! I love me a seafood boil! Usually it’s the service that makes or break my experience and it was definitely made by the two workers there tonight! So not come here if you’re going to be mean to the staff they deserve the world!“
“Our server, Sun, was fantastic!! He made our experience at Main st location 100% enjoyable. The service was perfect and food was delicious. They even have adult caprisun, and we tried Finding Nemo and Mr.Rich. A must try! Definitely recommend everyone to dine here:) Thank you Sun!“
“1st time here. Have driven by hundreds of times......not sure what I was thinking....it took figuring out that you can't get Alaskan King crab legs at Legal Seafoods to force me to try this place out. Took an order to go. A+ yes messy....very messy the middle Hot sauce was excellent and everywhere. Good fun. Shared as an appetizer and we all agree Good stuff. They have "All you can Eat" on Sat and Sun I believe for $30 so a great deal. We will try again. Tiny place maybe 10-12 tables so use OpenTable. I tried Boston they did not have anything for 3-4 days at 7pm. Also had a Brookline reservation. There are ~24 locations in 8-10 states.“
“I went to Hook & Reel on Friday (2/9/24) with my boyfriend and we had a waitress by the name of Besty….OMG she was awesome. She was so pleasant and nice and all smile, even when my boyfriend insisted on trying the crab meat fries and then after getting them he was not a fan of them, she took them away with a smile on her face and let us know it was taken off of the bill. She asked us how our food was and just made sure we was taken care of and happy while eating there. Besty is definitely an assist to the restaurant and if she can get a raise she deserves one, she ROCKS!!!! Go head Besty ( I wish I could spell her real name) lol“
“The holiday margaritas were amazing to start, my boyfriend said wow about 6x while eating the calamari which was breaded IN HOUSE which definitely gives you the WOWZA feeling, I ordered the sautéed lobster roll and he ordered the blackened fish. And WOW the lobster roll was the best I've ever had EVER, it just melted in your mouth and paired with garlic butter and toasted bread MUAH perfectooo also came with sweet potato fries. The blackened fish came with sausage and shrimp with a creole sauce and it was gone in seconds.. we were so happily full after. Talked about the food alllll the way home and how great it was!! Service was also soo great, our server was so sweet and recommended just about every single thing we ordered!“
“Loooooveee this place I came in and the young man help me choose the best order for me and he was so nice and I had to come another time just because how amazing the service and food was .I got the shrimp ? easy peel and the sauce was shaking with rice and lemonade. It was just yummy ?“
“Great place for an intimate dining experience. The environment was small and comfortable. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The food was increadibly fresh. It was also delivered fast, hot, and as ordered.Might I add that the Strawberry Margarita was amazing. Must try the onion rings. The breading is unmatched. We will definitely return. Great gem in Somerville. Check em out!“
“Awesome place. I took my family & we ordered a combination that came with an extraordinary variety of food. Huge portions of delicious snow crab, crayfish, shrimp, sausage, hard boiled eggs & corn on the cob, served together in a cooking bag within a large metal bowl. A pool of amazing juice sat at the bottom for dipping everything in. Be prepared for an awesomely fun messy experience. I've never seen crayfish so large. I'm used to seeing crayfish 3 to 4 inches long. King Crab's crayfish were so large that I initially thought I was looking at small lobsters. The place was very clean & sinks for hand washing are provided right in the dining area. Plastic bibs & gloves are provided. I give high ratings across the board: delicious food, large portions, great presentation, well-kept dining area & a ridiculously fun experience.“
“If you’re craving seafood boil, Shaking crab quincy is the place to go. From the staff to food and the vibes are all there. Our server Tony was amazing. Super attentive and made sure we always had what we needed. I had the ayce option and that was 20/10 would deff recommend. Shaking is great for date night, family dinner and girls night!!“
“Best dish here was the Bananas Foster Bread pudding. Service was mediocre, sat quickly, but attention was slack. Food was OK. Barely could hear the music. A bit smaller than what it portraits.Wheelchair accessibility: Be prepared to sit in the back almost shoulder to shoulder with another table.“
