“Service was slooooow. Went in around 430, sat at the bar and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Waited nearly 20 minutes for a burger and two appetizers. Had to go over to the cheesecake counter MYSELF to get my slice because the bartender was too busy chatting with their friend and the manager was glued to host stand. Pretty disappointing as it’s usually not bad and the service is much quicker when they are busy.“

“The hubby wanted to take me to lunch for my upcoming birthday..for our age and for our wallet we always go to lunch vs dinner...we are now already home with the pups in our jammies..so great...now as a self proclaimed foodie, I have wanted to try the food at Alma Nove at the Hingham Shipyard for many years...I am also a huge Wahlbergers show fan...adored their mom Alma on the show and her pal Phyllis...the show is so much fun..binge it if you haven't seen it..anyway...the weather today didn't look too spectacular for a waterfront restaurant but the blue skies showed themselves as we were eating inside...such a terrific location..the shipyard has been revitalized in the last 15 years or so...lots of shopping and dining destinations including the original Wahlbergers Burger Joint...I love this stuff...Dave is like ok whatever...but our experience was lovely..I will say however that my husband and I don't quite fit in the Hingham vibe...and it has a vibe..no shade but it kind of carries an air about it...the people I mean...lol...but we ignored all that and for sure enjoyed lunch..even Dave said how delicious it all was...our server...nice..we typically enjoy banter with our servers...he wasn't about that...all business and he gave us excellent service..but I do have the sense that more than likely the staff has high hopes of gaining maybe a walk on role on Blood Bloods with Donnie or maybe a handshake from Marky Mark when he comes through from time to time...hope for them it happens..fingers crossed...😉..about the food...great bread..seemed homemade but simple..fresh..served with butter that had black specks on it..turns out it was a black salt..interesting..a few drafts for Dave from Mayflower Brewery in nearby Plymouth and I had a lovely Pinot Noir...bottled water on the table..big fan of that..I ordered the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops served over a sweet potato risotto , topped with haricot verts(fancy greenbeans), toasted marcona almonds and truffle honey and my date had the Butternut squash Tortellacci with pan seared chicken topped with sage brown butter sauce, pecorino romano, apple cider gastrique and fried sage and chives..wow..we are styling here in the Shipyard...every bite was spot on and a perfect serving for lunch..we enjoyed all of it..dessert..well.of course..they have an in house pastry chef so that's a given for me..chose the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding..when he returned he also brought a small chocolate dessert..like cake in a jar with whipped cream and a candle...he said they heard someone was celebrating a bday...we never said it so all I can figure is I posted that we were there for my bday and had tagged the restaurant...great social media connection if that was the case...we shared them and they were fabulous...took some photos around the place..ran into folks the hubby knew from Hull..absolutely highly recommend Alma Nove..those that aren't familiar with the background. ..The famous Wahlberg Brothers Donnie and Mark have a brother Paul who is the chef and owner of Alma Nove..named for their precious mom Alma and Nove in Italian means nine..there were 9 Walhberg kids..5 stars from me for Alma Nove.. Open daily for lunch and dinner. .I believe they have live music on Sundays and in the nice weather their outside patio overlooks Hingham Bay...a must try❤️ Mark has famously said their brother Paul is the most talented in the family...I believe that is spot on...“

“I brought my mom there today. I got the salted chocolate chip cookie and my mom got a slice of their apple cake. My mom called me a few hours later and the first thing she said was “that cake was awesome!” and I shared with her that my cookie was good too. 10/10 would recommend.“

From start to finish, the staff at both Webster Timberlanes and Luci’s went above and beyond to make sure our event was absolutely perfect. Every single team member was incredibly accommodating — delivering the food right to our party area, taking great care of our adult guests at the bar, and even handling all of the cleanup. They made hosting a party feel effortless, which any parent knows is a gift in itself. A very special shoutout goes to Uncle Lou, who helped us book the party. He was wonderful to work with: kind, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us create a great celebration. “I had the Sukiyaki Udon here and it was absolutely magnificent! The udon's broth was rich and flavorful, and all the ingredients were distinct, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The portion size and price point were both very reasonable, as it’s not “cheap,” but the quality thoroughly justifies the cost.

More than just food, what stood out most to me was the level of hospitality. The servers in this place were passionate and attentive, frequently checking in to make sure everything was going well and even refilling my water without me having to ask. It made this whole dining experience feel warm and welcoming.

If I could suggest one thing, I’d love to see a bit more East Asian ambiance, by maybe having some popular background music to match the amazing udons.

Overall, a wonderful experience! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Futago Udon if you’re looking for a cozy, comfortable, and tasty Japanese dining place in Boston!“

“The cookie sandwiches are out of control good. It was hard to choose but I’m glad I can’t get here easily or often because I would want to eat one every day. There was a small food tour in the day I went by, and I asked if it was a vegan food tour. It wasn’t; the ice cream is just so good that self-declared Omni “foodies” want it too!“

“Have been here a few times for lunch and I see why it is a staple in South Boston.

I'm a sucker for chicken cutlets so my two experiences and now go-tos for sandwiches were the Mamma Mia and Chicken Americano. The bread was so soft and fresh. Same goes for the chicken cutlets. Additionally they were thin, but hearty, crispy, yet juicy. Not only was the sandwich delicious, but was it filling. I am not a small guy and I had to wrap the second half of the sandwich up for later. This doubles the value as each sandwich is about $12, making it $6/meal if you split it in half, which will be a necessity if you add some chips and a beverage.

One small negative is their pizza. Being me, I have try a cheese slice wherever I see one available. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either, however, it's clear to me that you don't come to J Pace's for pizza.

If you're visiting Boston or live in and around Southie you got to stop by for a sandwich or maybe two. I'll be back soon and often!“

“Third time here and it’s an absolute gem. The burger is consistently delicious and the beer selection is excellent.
Their service is on point and here’s why:

Brian M our server was on top of it on a busy Saturday night, quick and attentive, I noticed the price of my Buffalo Trace was different on the printed menu from the online menu, I didn’t mind the price difference bc I was happy to pay it (it was a great old fashioned) but after I pointed out the price difference…he thanked me for letting them know and comped my drink! It wasn’t necessary at all but I really appreciate that kind of response.
Secondly, I ordered the fish and chips, which is the best fish and chips I’ve ever had (shout out to the kitchen staff!) But the fish portion was a little small. I’m assuming the manager clocked it, came over and said that’s a small piece of fish let me get you another one. She came out with a piece of fish twice the size. That’s good service!
It’s cozy, quality and exactly what you want on a cold night or a hot day. Good people, great food and drinks. Thank you Publick House !“

“This place is just the best. Across all of their locations, I have always been met with extremely friendly staff, fast service, and delicious food. My favorite bowl is the Cacao Power Bowl. I had it for lunch almost every weekday this summer, and somehow never got sick of it. But in terms of smoothies, you cannot go wrong with the Mango Green. Truly a timeless classic.“

Service is fast ? and they have many different options for flavors of coffee. I ordered a coffee and blueberry muffin. There's a sign for an upcoming meat raffle but our fries came with a garlic Parmesan sprinkle - great vibe that didn't take itself too seriously. it was nice to see a decent mix of people for a suburban New England town. Super welcoming atmosphere, and we will definitely be back! Easy to get to from city, only 2 exits down 24. there's a cute patio with bistro lights. My only critiques - 1. they serve crinkle cut fries. by choice, I'm assuming? And 2. If you're sober and hate Pepsi products, you're out of luck. Next time I'll sneak a flask of Coke Zero in my purse.“

“This was our first order from flour moon bakery. We wanted to have an under the water birthday cake with some tropical flavor. Ellen is wonderful to communicate with. She was very accommodating about decorations and the flavor. I think there is no flavor that she cannot do for you! we decided to choose mango flavor on the layers with a hint of pineapple on the cake. The cake turned out very yummy and felt like a piece of paradise in my mouth. The guests absolutely loved the flavor and cake.
The decoration was 10/10, flavor 10/10, she also delivery in the surrounding towns, which was absolutely life saver 10/10.

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“

I actually found cape cod cafe pizza in my grocery stores freezer the other day and bought it and it tasted as good as it did all those years ago. So happy I can buy it in the store now in NH“

“This place is busy and a clean table without crumbs is hard to find, but the service is good and the suggestions are on point. The cheesecake I got and the pumpkin latte is delicious. The pistachio latte is good too! Restroom was clean and the atmosphere is really nice. I love that it's a quick walk away from other good restaurants and the school of music- i heard the students playing on the way there.“

Other orders of same complexity came in different timing and we all four waited long to eat together.
