“I ran out of gas yesterday in the Napoli Pizza parking lot. I ran in to tell the owner, George that I was calling AAA. George dropped all he was doing to help me and insisted I cancel the AAA request. He put the gas he had for his generator into my car. When that wasn’t quite enough he gave me the keys to his car to get more gas. He doesn’t know me at all but jumped to help. I couldn’t thank him enough. In a time where most people would have driven by he stayed by my side to assist. He mentioned assisting with the hope that should something happen to his family someone would stop to help. I have gotten a large oat milk latte and four pastries that are recommended by the staff. The latte was perfectly heated to combat the current Boston cold winds. The pastries were all not overpowering! I loved how light they were and how nicely they can be paired with a latte. (1) Blueberry muffin (2) Ham and cheese croissant (3) Cinnamon bun - a classic (4) Sugar Brioche bun I went to this inspired by my previous lab PI introducing the breakfast sandwich with light mayonnaise. “There is a time when you know the second the enter a cafe that it is going to be a good one. Tatte did that for me in that very first second. The energy, the sounds, the taste of fresh pastry in the air blended with the grained coffee were just what I was looking for. Victoria, one of the cafe staff was warm and welcoming. As I was sitting on the bistra bar drinking a great cup of real barista coffee, I noticed the waiters and waitress laughing and having a good time. It was just a great experience to take part in. Also very much enjoyed trying the half sizes of the mushroom melt sandwich, the Butternut Squash sandwich, and the achiote chicken sandwich. The raspberry oat bar was nice too, and the carrot cake was very moist and with a lot of cream cheese frosting that wasn't overly sweet.There are seating areas downstairs and upstairs which include bar seats and benches and regular chairs, as well as an elevator to the second floor. It is in the perfect location to explore the beacon hill area after some breakfast and coffee. I found a seat and good my breakfast sandwich and coffee quickly. My sandwich was great- egg, cheese, and bacon on fresh sourdough bread. I got a hot much, which was good too! The service was great. “My daughter and I recently dined at this location. We had heard amazing reviews about how the staff is very diligent taking care of customers with food allergies. We were not disappointed. In fact we were thrilled with our experience. The first thing we were asked was if there were any allergies at the table. The waiter seemed very knowledgeable about allergies and asked many of the right questions before we even gave him the information which is normally what we have to do at a restaurant. The manager brought the food to the table and both the waiter and the manager checked on us frequently. One of the best parts of this, is this wasn’t a situation where they just left off ingredients that she was allergic to. They made the dish according to the menu in a way that was completely safe for her. We will definitely eat at this establishment again. And we will spread the word about how wonderful they were. My food was fabulous as well. There are many things left on the menu I still want to try.“
