“My son recently got married at a venue up in southern New Hampshire and we used the Artisan Hotel as our main hotel, as well as the place where we held the welcome reception the night before and the brunch the day after the wedding (which was incredibly convenient). I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Artisan Catering & Events! The team there really know what they are doing and made both events so special, stress-free and seamless. I loved working with Jamie, the assistant GM there. She and her team stayed on top of all the details, had creative ideas for room set-up and decor, coordinated with other vendors for things like A/V equipment rental, and handled every one of my requests with thoughtfulness and competence. From our in-person planning meeting, to email communication, right through to wrapping everything up at the end of the weekend, it was a wonderful experience and I would work with Artisan and Jamie again any day!“

They were so easy to work with and genuine and accommodating - it was a dream to work with them. “My Wife and I stopped by for a quick bite yesterday afternoon. We both ordered the double smashburger and shared a large fry order. The smashburger was excellent, well cooked and dressed with lettuce tomatoes pickles and sauce, very tasty. The fries order was a large and it truly was large. Not your regular run of the mill string fries. Large thick (almost Steak Fries) lightly salted and very tasty. Definitely will eat here again. BG“

“We had an incredible experience with Sensational Paella! We worked directly with Julian, and he made planning our event and preparing the food an absolute breeze. He was so easy to work with and incredibly helpful, guiding us to create the perfect menu and overall experience for our private event. His team was equally wonderful—friendly, kind, and clearly passionate about the food they were cooking. We enjoyed two large paellas and a beautiful grazing station with endless options. The quality of the food truly stood out: the meats, cheeses, and garlic butter shrimp were phenomenal. Our guests loved every bite and savored every moment. “I have been to many functions at Anthony’s, Albert is always on his A game. He gives back to the City of Malden like no one else. I have been involved in many sports organizations in Malden and can tell you first hand, he is a gem! I have also been to weddings, funerals, political functions land the food has always been excellent. On a side note the people of the city of Malden, will miss his son Craig on the Malden city council!“

The idea of this place is sweet and charming and it is by far one of the most affordable “high-tea” experiences in the area. I appreciated that it had a kids menu as the point of our reservation was to dress up fancy and celebrate my 8 year old daughter. For her this place checked all the boxes, so thank you!!

Adult rating - 2-3 stars
As an adult I do have a few complaints. The Belmont location is very understaffed with one waitress for a full room of tables. This caused our wait times to be quite long and the service to be poor, which I had seen mentioned in other reviews before booking. Also the attention to the quality of what was served was very underwhelming, again possibly due to an over stretched waitress. We were not offered any honey or lemon or cream options to go with our tea, and when heavy cream was directly requested we were given a small dish of milk. Also my daughter’s hot chocolate was so thin it looked like tea. The place was packed, so clearly a very appealing idea for the area but the management just needs to invest in their idea better with a bit more organization, attention to detail and staff.“

“Hiring Capers for our wedding was the best decision we’ve ever made! The people were great, and the food and drinks were out of this world. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We definitely agree! For the bar, Capers was able to handle all of our special requests and provided a unique selection of craft beers, ciders, seltzers, as well as plenty of wine and liquor options. They did a great job of finding cool, local brands that gave the bar a much more upscale feel without breaking the bank. Donna was wonderful through the whole process and SO easy to work with. She was super diligent and involved with several meetings at our venue and communicative through emails between in person meetings.

Not only were the food choices delicious, but the presentation, from the flowers adorning the dinner plates to the tablecloths and napkins, was lovely. We only heard compliments from all the guests about the food. The consensus was that the salmon was the best dish anyone had ever had! The staff sent home, for the bride and groom, a container with all the dinner choices as well as a taste of some of appetizers.
