The idea of this place is sweet and charming and it is by far one of the most affordable “high-tea” experiences in the area. I appreciated that it had a kids menu as the point of our reservation was to dress up fancy and celebrate my 8 year old daughter. For her this place checked all the boxes, so thank you!!

Adult rating - 2-3 stars
As an adult I do have a few complaints. The Belmont location is very understaffed with one waitress for a full room of tables. This caused our wait times to be quite long and the service to be poor, which I had seen mentioned in other reviews before booking. Also the attention to the quality of what was served was very underwhelming, again possibly due to an over stretched waitress. We were not offered any honey or lemon or cream options to go with our tea, and when heavy cream was directly requested we were given a small dish of milk. Also my daughter’s hot chocolate was so thin it looked like tea. The place was packed, so clearly a very appealing idea for the area but the management just needs to invest in their idea better with a bit more organization, attention to detail and staff.“

“Hiring Capers for our wedding was the best decision we’ve ever made! The people were great, and the food and drinks were out of this world. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We definitely agree! For the bar, Capers was able to handle all of our special requests and provided a unique selection of craft beers, ciders, seltzers, as well as plenty of wine and liquor options. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious, high-quality food truck in the Boston area. From the very first communication I had with them, they were quick to respond, extremely detailed, and super professional. Despite never trying their food before, I read a number of other positive reviews and placed a deposit. They continued to be communicative and answered all of my questions leading up to the event. On the day of, they arrived on time and were set up and ready to serve exactly when they said they would be. All the guests loved the food - both the variety and the quality of each dish. And at the end, we had a handful of leftover meals that we had contracted as part of our guest count, which they wrapped up in to-go boxes for us before leaving.
