We did and sampler platter and the meats are solid. The ribs are THE BEEEEST. pulled pork and brisket is good too. have yet to try the burnt ends, that's my next venture! Overall a great meal. Price wise, it is moderate. price points around the same if not cheaper for most BBQ I've had up here. I'm from the south so prices will never be as cheap as there, but the food, personally, is worth the price.“

After going in for the first time a couple of weeks ago, this was my fourth visit, two for lunch, one for takeout and tonight for dinner.

Every experience has been great.

Staff is welcoming, cheerful, friendly, and efficient.

Everything I've ordered so far has been stellar. Tonight I skipped the barbecue and went for the smoked prime rib and that absolutely did not disappoint.

Portion sizes are very good, prices are reasonable, and everything is fresh and authentic. Love their homemade sauces too

Special shout out to Emily who has served me every time. She is the epitome of what a restaurant would want in an employee: upbeat, knowledgeable, friendly, offering things without being pushy and totally genuine. Honestly, the whole crew makes you feel like a guest, and they really want you to be happy.

I love walking out of a restaurant and not only full from delicious food but also in a better mood than when I went in.

“Decided to go out for dinner with a few friends and it was delicious. I liked the citrus dressing on the avocado salad. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. For dessert, green tea ice cream is a must!“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. “I love Brazilian steakhouses, but they’re usually a longish ride & expensive. At Feijo in my hometown of Stoughton, I may have missed the novelty of the gaucho service of bigger Churrascarias, but I was able to eat myself into a meat coma for less than 2/3 what I pay elsewhere without highway or city traffic. 😵‍💫 Had excellent spicy pork sausage, top sirloin, brisket, picanha, short ribs & lamb. Would have preferred the beef to be more rare, but it was still moist & tasty. Market bar is a bit small, but staples plantains, cheddar biscuits & black beans with stewed pork are there & are outstanding! At such a reasonable price & so close to home, this place could nicely fill my need for a big meal of meat.“

“this is sooooo good, every bite of meat is soft and tender and the biscuits looked mediocre, but tasted perfect. They even thawed out the butter instead of giving me a frozen lump like 99% of restaurants. I will go out of my way to eat here again!“

“L Street Diner is a neighborhood gem! Although known for their delicious breakfast selections, including an Irish Breakfast, and amazing brick oven pizza, you can't miss with the rest of the menu! Best Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Roast turkey dinner (and calzone) with Turkeys roasted on-site daily! Their BBQ is amazing and don't forget dessert with cakes and pies bakes fresh every week! “Came in on a Sunday evening when every other hot pot spot in Allston had lines out the door. This was the only place where we could sit right away. Based on the name, I assumed it was strictly a hot pot joint, but the menu was much broader. Standard QR code ordering system, food came out fast.

Most of my friends recommended the dry pots, so we went with pork and beef versions, plus a regular pork hot pot for comparison. All pots come with six toppings by default (vegetables and noodles), with proteins as add-ons. Even with extras, each pot was under $25, and the portions were huge. The regular hot pot was fine, but the dry pots had way more flavor and heat. Since I don’t have dry pots often, it’s difficult to say whether this was top tier, but most of the toppings were good quality.

We also tried the stir-fried string beans and chili wontons, both solid. But knowing how big the pots were, we probably could’ve skipped the sides.

Overall not as flashy as the big-name hot pot spots nearby, but way easier to get into and much cheaper. Might come back for the dry pots.“

“If you want some real Cantonese Chinese food and roasted meat in Dorchester area, this is the place. If you are super hungry, the 3 meat delights will fill any stomach. Huge portions of meats on top of a container full of rice. Salt and pepper squid and porchop or shrimps with rice, fish and tofu with rice, and black pepper beef are some of my favorites. “The plain outlook belies the neat and tidy inside. Went for the grill, tried both chicken and shrimp, and I had ordered the LA galbi as well but had the cook cook it for me so I could pack home. They do give you lettuce so you can eat it as a wrap, and helps you to cook on the grill (see video). Side dishes and the sauces were pretty authentic. Ssamjang (fermented soy paste that is mixed with other sauces for meat lettuce wraps) was a little different, more pale and liquidy. Didn't quite like that one. They do replenish the lettuce somewhat, but not the side dishes. The bowl of rice was good amount. The meat was marinated well. I had similar grilled chicken before but shrimp version was new to me. It was tasty and peeled well. The LA galbi was good too, but a little too little in terms of amount for the price (maybe the meat had shrink during cooking), so gave 4 for service. Lots of options on the menu in both appetizers and main dishes. The seafood pancake was quite thick and oily. Want to try other ones too, curious to see how authentic they are. They also don't have Korean desserts, unfortunately. So please plan accordingly. There is Hmart and Paris Barguette nearby (walking distance), FYI, if want something Korean for dessert as well.“

“We eat here frequently, major problem on occasion is cold food. Today had chilli, ice cold, then had pulled pork dinner, ice cold. Other people had mashed potatoes, ice cold, sent it back luke warm. Make sure you test your food before they leave the table.“
