“I've been meaning to write this review for sometime, because Lisa and her staff absolutely deserve their flowers. We have used Tex's BBQ express for our annual staff cookouts for years. When we send out the invitation one of the first questions that are asked is "are we getting food from Tex's?" The staff are so polite, accommodating, and easy to work with. I am excited to use them each year for annual outings, but their food is so delicious and they make me want to host parties of my own with them on the grill. CANNOT recommend highly enough“

The food at Smokehouse BBQ is so good! This is a regular go-to for me when I want hearty comfort food. The brisket is tender and juicy, the smokehouse stew is warm and filling, and the cornbread is sweet with the perfect texture. Highly recommended!!“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“We went looking for Barbecue International and found out it was changed to Himalayan Kitchen. First timers and we ran into the owner who was super nice. We had the chicken pakoras, chicken tika masala lunch, garlic naan and beef chilli. Honestly favorite restaurant in Somerville now, definitely going to be regulars here. “I love Brazilian steakhouses, but they’re usually a longish ride & expensive. At Feijo in my hometown of Stoughton, I may have missed the novelty of the gaucho service of bigger Churrascarias, but I was able to eat myself into a meat coma for less than 2/3 what I pay elsewhere without highway or city traffic. 😵‍💫 Had excellent spicy pork sausage, top sirloin, brisket, picanha, short ribs & lamb. Would have preferred the beef to be more rare, but it was still moist & tasty. Market bar is a bit small, but staples plantains, cheddar biscuits & black beans with stewed pork are there & are outstanding! At such a reasonable price & so close to home, this place could nicely fill my need for a big meal of meat.“

“Great for mala (dry) and for other shareable plates. Their large dish can definitely be split between 3 or so people. Would highly recommend recommend if you’re in the area and craving something spicy. Parking is of course very difficult to find, but not unusual for the area.“
