“I just ordered take out for the first time from Mac & Walt’s and WOW! It was so good. I have been craving a burger and searched “best burger near me”. Thankfully, Mac & Walt’s was first on the list! After browsing the menu, I settled on the Crispy Jam burger and onion rings. My fiancé built his own burger with an egg, pepper-jack and steak sauce along with sweet potato fries. We shared a cornbread. Our order definitely satisfied my craving and now I can’t wait to come back for more!“

“Choosing Independence Harbor was a decision that we will never regret. We had our wedding at the end of March 2025 and worked with both Sydney and Jocelyn. Communication with Sydney was constant and she was always available if we had a question. The price for the venue was also so affordable and staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the ceremony and reception. We would recommend this venue to anyone getting married and were so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with Sydney and Jocelyn.“

What we remember about it was how it made us feel. Both of us work hard in our professions and to go out to dinner and find wonderful food, excellent and attentive wait staff, and relaxed environment simply made our day. We then came every month at least once mostly twice to enjoy the excellence and serenity at Trafford. Sadly we lost this when the fire occurred for several years. Then absolute joy when Trafford’s reopened and we found the same wonderful food, wonderful staff in a simply beautiful rebuilt building. The joy we felt and the absolute calm and serenity is all back for us. Recently we celebrated my 76th birthday at Trafford with my entire family. It was amazingly special for me and we had our special event upstairs with the entire place devoted to us . Chrissy our server did an awe inspiring service for us making it perhaps one of the most special birthdays I have ever had I have attached a picture of this special moment. I work in the computer software business doing quality assurance 10 hours every day. Being able to calm down and relax completely at Trafford’s is simply a joy for us. “I went to the Granite Grille today with my friend and my grandma. My son is in the Culinary Arts program, and we wanted to experience the restaurant, and it was excellent! The students who waited on us did a great job. My watermelon lemonade was delicous, and I forgot to grab a picture of the burger for the review because it looked so good that I got right on into eating it! The waiters did good checking in with us, and answering questions we had. The students and staff are doing an amazing job. It was an all-around great experience, and we will definitely be going back soon.“

And I’ve come to get a quick bite to eat to find I have a server in training “ Stephanie” who was nervous but pleasant with a inviting g smile that set my atmosphere of being a guest with my company. She assure she got the order correctly to our liking to our order and was pleasant to please and accommodate our needs. If unfamiliar with a menu she quickly excuse herself to inquire with her shift boss. Who was just as pleasant and knowledgeable to what Eva ? that may have riser. Needles to say to find I had points and a member to top it off I got a sundae of one scoop to find 2 scoops and the cost would be 2$ and 5$ off the bill to our surprise. And the manager scolded us for being out on the deck because “it was a place for dinning and not for us to hangout”. we were out there trying to enjoy the view, which I feel like is a big hit for this restaurant. Mind you there were no guests seated outside anywhere close to where we were standing and we most definitely wouldn’t have been out there standing in between any tables if people were sitting out there that’s simple common courtesy. Either way she was very rude about it instead of just stating that she’d prefer for us to be inside. I might go back because the food was so good but my only hesitation is to give someone any business who is rude to guests. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and I don’t think I would have ever enjoyed working for someone who talks to guests the way she spoke to us!“

All their items are made in house - sauces, dressings, toppings, Burgers, Corned Beef etc!We started with the salt and vinegar Sprouts - oh the flavor and the bacon fat mmm, mmm!!! Then we had the Classic Smash Burger with a GF bun for our GF daughter! Outstanding! Then the wife had the Mediterranean Burger - really tasty! And I had the Truffle Shuffle Burger with Truffle fries- oh Yum! Flavorful and nice and hot off the griddle!
