“We ate here during the weekend lunch buffet. The food was great, but the only rice available had meat in it, and the vegetarian options lacked greens. The reason it's only 3 stars for service is the cups and cutlery were all disposable and when we asked for a glass of water we were told we could purchase a disposable bottle. The 2 other closest Indian style buffets are both cheaper and they don't use disposable cutlery, serve free water in real glasses, and have more vegetarian options. Overall, we decided it was very nice, but it's just not for us. Check it out for yourself.“

“We had such a wonderful dining experience, largely thanks to Milli! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. She took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for, and checked in just the right amount - never too much, never too little. Even when the restaurant got busy, Milli stayed calm, kept a smile on her face, and made sure our drinks were always topped up and our food came out perfectly timed. She clearly cares about giving guests a great experience, and it showed in every interaction. Service like this is what turns a good meal into a memorable one. If you're dining here, ask for Milli - she'll take great care of you. Will definitely be back!“

“Came with my wife who has strict food restrictions due to allergies. Normally she would just get an appetizer for safety’s sake. The owner took the time to fix her up and have a full meal. The food itself? Spectacular. Will be back many many times.“

“Tried the buffet on the weekend. The cost vs food is amazing! They had a good spread of food, that they would refill quickly. Fresh naan for the table is also really great. The place was clean and comfortable. I would recommend going 15-20 minutes early on weekends cause there could be a short wait. Overall, worth the cost and the trip to kenmore.“

“I generally get Doordash delivery from this place for the last couple months. It's quick service. I think their parathas are very good but their naans are mediocre at best. One thing I'd like to point out is inconsistency -sometimes they'd send me yogurt with the paratha and sometimes they won't. I like that some of their chicken options are white meat chicken.“

“This is the second time in one week my friend and I have chosen this restaurant as our destination for food, drinks, and merriment and we were not disappointed. The staff is a delight, both times we were greeted with a warm smile and they were very knowledgeable recommending dishes and levels of spice. The naan bread is delicious and the appetizers and entrees we ordered were amazing as well bursting with so much flavor. The cocktails were crafted with precision and so much passion from the wonderful bartender. The live music is great! We definitely recommend Chulo restaurant and plan on returning again and again!“

“Amazing restaurant! one of the best Malai kofta's i have ever had. Recommend onion pakora as well. They were super crispy. Amazing value as well. If I had to pick only a small bone it's that the green chutney was quite bland. Other than that, everything was great.“

“Although a restaurant serving both Greek and Indian dishes may seem strange, do not let that deter you. This restaurant lives up to their name in quality and service. My daughter had a Gyro plate, while my wife and I had the Awadhi Jackfruit Korma and Peri Peri Kingfish. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely return!“
“We had a full buffet lunch today available only on weekends. The menu included Rajasthani Mirchi pakodas, vegetarian sandwich, Pani purees, Pav Bhajee, Mango juice and Chaas as Appetisers followed by main course with 4 veg curries, Uttapams, Nan, Paneer Parothas, purees, Pineapple biryanee, basmati rice, daal, papadams and 3 types of sweets. Such a grand menu... We tasted small portions but guys.. Everything was yummy 😋.. Please do visit next time on Saturdays...“

“Vaisakhi is the breath of fresh air that the restaurant scene in this little corner of Brighton and all of Cleveland Circle needs. Finally a sit down, casual Indian place that's reasonably priced and doesn't require half an hour each way on the T to get to! Even on their first day open, their food is better than several of the Indian restaurants in the Boston area that I've eaten at. Tucked away across from the Sutherland Road T stop, you can follow your nose to the doorstep of the restaurant. The interior tastefully restrained, bright colors and some simple paintings above the booths. The space is small, but not cramped and the booth seating at least was very comfortable. The three gentlemen who own/run the front of the house are eager to please. We were seated right away and given water and menus. The menu is comprehensive without being too large and confusing. The vegetarian, and meat sections are both equally sized, so there's plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My wife and I started out with the vegetable pakoras. These little fritters of batter and veggies were served hot, with a little bit of salty spice powder and dipping sauces. The crunchy shell pairs nicely with the soft veggies inside and tastes amazing when you put a bit of the red onion chutney on it. For our main course we ordered the saag paneer and the dal makhani, two of our favorite vegetarian dishes in Indian cuisine. The dal makhani was subtle, not overly spiced and not overly rich like many I've had. The lentils weren't rock hard or cooked into mush. The star of the show was definitely the saag paneer though. The saag was so wonderfully rich and smooth and spiced perfectly, and the paneer was the perfect texture, not too soft and mushy and now dry and crumbly. We decided to leave room for some desert and tried both the gulab jamun and the kheer. The kheer was a bit under seasoned for my taste, not enough rose water or cardamom and a bit on this thin side, but it served as a nice palate cleanser. The gulab jamun was excellent, the syrup not too sweet or floral and the balls had a nice subtle flavor to them as well. I'm lucky enough to live right around the corner from Vaisakhi, but I would gladly travel a lot further for this food.“

“Last time we were, someone in the kitchen may have swapped our dishes and we ended up with exceptionally spicy food. When I mentioned this to a manager yesterday, he encouraged us to get a sample of the offending dish before ordering. Of course, the food was excellent as it's been since we discovered this place nearly five years ago.“

“Living nearby, Kantipur has become my go-to every week for quarantine takeout. I've tried all the chicken dishes about 3 times by now and I still can't decide which is the best! But my favorite menu item is the vegetable pakora appetizer. Dip it in the chutney sauce and you'll understand. 🎁🎊“

“Can I give service 100/10? They let me borrow 2 bucks once when I ran out of money for the bus even tho I wasn’t a customer. Then I came back and the food is awesome! Lamb is crazy good. Mango Lassi goes perfect with the food. The lunch special is great and has enough food for 2 people. They also have chai for you to just self-serve!!“

“We had Tandoor & Curry on Wheels cater our grand opening on Saturday, May 16th, and they were absolutely wonderful! Not only were they able to customize the seasoning to fit everyone’s preferences, but they also customized the menu specifically for our event. The two gentlemen running the truck were incredibly kind, professional, and friendly throughout the entire experience. The food was amazing, and they helped make our event extra special. I would highly recommend them and would gladly use them again and again!“

“After long time enjoyed true Indian tea at some food joint, this is served truly fresh,
Dandelion had near to true Gujarati flavor, and Bada patv make me remember my Pune street experience near dagdu Seth temple. Yes, I like little more on fried green chilli, but still good to enjoy.“

“We went there on a weekend night and tried the dosa with Kakarampodi and spicy potato. The dosa was good and probably the best thing we ordered. The idlis were also soft and fresh.
We also tried the pav bhaji, pani puri, and samosa chaat, but those were pretty average and nothing really stood out. Since they’re mainly known for their dosas, I’d say stick to those if you’re visiting. Overall, it was decent and I would go again for dosa and Karampodi.“

“Wow! I've walked past WOW TIKKA a million times and was always thrown off by their branding and logo. If that sounds silly, trust me, it really is. What a loss on my part. Perhaps not the most traditional style of Indian food (mix and match of starch, proteins, sauces), but, Oh Lord, did it hit the SPOT. Don't judge a book by its cover I would say. Try them out! Wonderful staff and delicious food for good prices.“

“Food here would have been excellent if the salt level on literally every dish and appetizer we ordered were not over salted. Our entire table of 4 thought so, so it was not a singular take. Please check the salt before plating - better to under salt and have a salt shaker then to leave not finishing even half of the meal due to sodium drowning.“

“In six years living in the North Shore, our family has probably eaten here five times. We have enjoyed the food each time. Service is prompt and unobtrusive. Tonight we had Saag Paneer and Paneer Tikka Masala with garlic naan and chai. Fresh, warm naan is always tasty but at some restaurants as it cools it becomes doughy and tasteless. At Rang, the naan is good hot or cool. The curries were tasty and the medium spiciness was just right. The samosas had lots of stuffing, and the wrap was not oily (an issue at many).“

“Located on the 2nd floor opened up two months ago, is a nice big place with bright colors. Menu offers various of food cooked differently in Indian cuisine. I highly recommend indulging in a mango lassi, perfectly balanced of sweet & refreshing. My favorite dish was the fish masala, baingan bhartha and goat kauai. The fish masala sauce reminded of butter chicken, very flavorful. They stated the buffet would be open soon, hoping to try it when it does. Love that this restaurant serves halal.
