The pizza was excellent, well-made with a great crust and quality topping, but where Woody's really shines is the cocktails, easily some of the best I've had. Perfectly balanced, well-crafted, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. Pair that with attentive, friendly service and a comfortable, easygoing atmosphere, and it's the kind of place you settle into for another round. Highly recommend for a relaxed pub with great pizza, standout drinks, and even better company. Will definitely be back.“

“Best hostel I’ve been to. Everyone else leaving negative comments needs to remember that this is a budget hostel, not a hotel! I paid $60/night to stay in an all female room: 6 beds (3 bunk beds), only the women staying in my room have the security key card to get in, the room has its own bathroom, shower, fridge/freezer, counter, closet, and small lockers, there’s housekeeping that comes in between check in/out. They even have free coffee/tea and bread with butter, peanut butter, jelly in the mornings available until noon. The whole place is clean, quiet, and decked out with Beatles memorabilia. There is understandably not always staff at the front desk, but I’ve been able to talk to someone when I need to and everyone has been very very kind.

All in all, I paid $60/night and I felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Boston.“

“For a guy who loves his bar to have good beer at a good price served by good people, this was like walking into Shangri-La. You can waltz in and grab a seat at the bar and enjoy yourself a pint of Guinness and enjoy some friendly conversation. After a day spent touristing, this was exactly the place I was looking for to unwind and actually relax. Made me think of all the pubs I frequented when I was a younger man hanging out with his buddies.“

“My wife and I were in Boston for 3 days this weekend , and we found this place on our second stop. As soon as we walked in there, we felt the amazing atmosphere of all the people around. We also met some amazing people who we invited to sit with us because the place was a 100% full. They happen to be from Australia, even though the guy was originally from Boston. We had an amazing dinner and appetizers on the first night there. And then the next day we came back for lunch and had an amazing bartender named Ro. And if that wasn't enough, we came back Sunday morning for breakfast. as far as I can see, this is the only place to go if you are in downtown Boston, hands down. We also loved the live music. “My wife and I came here to get a quick bite and some drinks and watch some World Cup. The servers were incredible and the food was delicious. We ordered the Salmon salad and the salmon was fresh and juicy. We also had the pretzel with their spicy mustard which was awesome. I had an IPA followed by the 75 bees which is a perfect drink in this hot weather. Not too alcoholic and sweet. My wife had the Hibiscus lemonade and she swears that’s one of the best lemonade’s she’s had in a long time. Super awesome place to visit“

“Distraction is a great local spot for roslindale residents. The staff is friendly and beers are unique. It's just one of those places where you don't have to go far for a good beer and enjoy local community people. I would call it more than just a local brewery but a community hang out area, from live music, mahjong groups and others just chilling and watching a game. They also have games, non alcoholic beers and cocktails. Again, staff is friendly and goes beyond to be kind to everyone. I obviously love it here.“

“We visited on a Sunday night. The bar area was moderately busy but our poor server had a large section with six or seven tables and not much help and the bartenders were slow getting drinks out. It seemed like it was. Maybe just a staffing issue. Our server was professional and kind. Made good recommendations. Just had too many people to wait on at any given time. “Hosted a family funeral coalition for 40. The food was great. The menu had something for everyone. Accommodated special requests. Service was excellent. They made event planning very easy on the family and it was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend. Thank you to the whole Menotomy crew.“

“Went there last night after daughter's graduation with her boyfriend's family and her other friends. The bar was loud and very busy as expected but the servers and hosts were kind enough to accommodate us. But it was one particular bartender of Asian origin (I am an Asian myself) who was flustered the entire time we were there and we were not even ordering from her. It was a different bartender who was nice. And when I wanted to close the tab, she asked me something I couldn't hear and when I asked her again, she snapped so viciously, I was aghast. That was beyond rude and more like a criminal behavior towards a patron. I didn’t escalate it and left quickly but this perhaps is a repeat behavior from her and her attitude didn’t seem new. I hope the management/owners take notice of this. The way she behaved and looked flustered the entire time warrants termination, no less. This has nothing to do with the pub, the servers and bartender there are nice, except that one person who shouldn't have been employed.“

They have a huge selections of beer, which is great and a good atmosphere. I wish that the menu had better selection and all of the food was well seasoned. We will go there again.“
