“My wife and I were in Boston for 3 days this weekend , and we found this place on our second stop. As soon as we walked in there, we felt the amazing atmosphere of all the people around. We also met some amazing people who we invited to sit with us because the place was a 100% full. They happen to be from Australia, even though the guy was originally from Boston. We had an amazing dinner and appetizers on the first night there. And then the next day we came back for lunch and had an amazing bartender named Ro. And if that wasn't enough, we came back Sunday morning for breakfast. as far as I can see, this is the only place to go if you are in downtown Boston, hands down. We also loved the live music. “We visited on a Sunday night. The bar area was moderately busy but our poor server had a large section with six or seven tables and not much help and the bartenders were slow getting drinks out. It seemed like it was. Maybe just a staffing issue. Our server was professional and kind. Made good recommendations. Just had too many people to wait on at any given time. Oh pickle plate is a must - classic sweet to the unexpected root veg and snow pea mix. Great beers new and old. The bartender Mike brings it. He's cool and chill and makes the best subtle recommendations. Great fun to talk with. Great music, great vibe. Already planing a trip back for the reuben. Simple menu done right.“

“Perfect little spot to go after the aquarium. In walking distance. My fiance and our little birthday girl came in from Wareham today. The birthday girl was fussy at first. But our server was fantastic. We sat outside. Beautiful little spot. Food was good. Service was quick. Prices were typical for the city area. And the server gave our birthday girl a miniature yellow rubber ducky which cheered her up quick 😊 Thanks for a lovely lunch Granary Tavern!!“

“This is a great neighborhood bar. While we didn't eat, we saw quite a few plates pass by and were very impressed. The drinks were great and the staff very friendly. Perfect spot to watch sports and especially the Detroit Lions as they have Lions watch parties for every game!“

Great atmosphere, decent food, cool bartender (Good luck with your wedding, dude!), interesting people, and as a bonus - attractive waitresses, a must for any decent bar.
