“Ok y’all this bar is not what it seems. This is the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover. The atmosphere here was amazing. It has a small town, homey, everyone knows everyone vibe. There was a band during my visit (Dan and friends? Something like that) and they were INCREDIBLE!!!!! Absolutely insanely good. They killed it. Live music and cold beer, what more can you ask? The food however, not the best. Had the meatball sub sandwich or whatever and it was ehh, ok at best. The atmosphere here is worth a visit.“

“We stopped in as a group for a couple drinks after attending a friend’s birthday party in Millbury. Bartender was really friendly and service was fast. Good options for beers. Shortly after we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that there was live music. He sounded great and played a nice variety of genres. This place was comfortable even for first timers and spotless. I would definitely stop in whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommend.“

“The staff was EXCELLENT. Reservation was for 6, 2 of us got there 15 minutes early. Staff was kind enough to seat us and wait for the rest of the party. All the food was above board. It was noisy as they were very busy, so it was difficult to have conversations w/the folks on the other side of the table, but that is what happens when you eat at a popular restaurant on a Friday night. Thats possible? The Raven proves it. It's right in the middle of the hood so not the best place to hang around after a show.“

That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and made the night extra special. Dinner started with warm homemade bread and oil for dipping. Scott had the braised short ribs, I had the steak tips with grilled veggies — both were absolutely delicious. We ended by sharing the most incredible strawberry shortcake with homemade grilled biscuits, lemon curd, strawberries, ice cream, and whipped cream (with a candle, of course!). 🍓✨ In a city with so many options, Joey’s was truly the best choice.
