“One of the largest burritos I have ever had. Must have weighed over a pound. No way I was going to finish it in one meal. Very fresh flavors. Salsa was quite different than the normal salsa on other places. Very unique flavor. And the salad was to die for. Not sure what that dressing is. But I could have put it on anything.“

“This place has delicious food. The shrimp taco with Cole slaw and creamy sauces is just over $5 and mouth watering delicious. I get hungry just thinking about it. Fresh delicious chips and salsa and guacamole. All for about $20 for 2 people . I would rate itc10 stars if I could. Staff is also kind, considerate, warm, attentive and caring“

“I regularly get their potato and carrot enchilada with suiza sauce and it is to die for. The plates are large and definitely worth the money. I’ve tried some other dishes and none of them disappoint. Highly recommend to anyone visiting or living nearby that hasn’t tried.“

“Tamales is part of UMass Amherst's Blue Wall Food Hall, with a focus on Mexican cuisine.
The prices are a bit high, that I really wouldn't recommend it as a visitor to the campus. They charge way higher than other locations in the area, and the portions vary on size depending on what you get.
The food is alright though. Since you can build your own, it really depends on what you enjoy or what you want.“

“I recently went here for the 1st time. The food was good, but the service was not. Our waitress never brought our bill to the table then we saw other customers going to the front to pay without a bill. This is all fine only if you are told that is the way that it works. Then the person working just told me a total price of our check. I told her that I wanted to see the bill. She did give it to me to look at after I asked and it was correct but this isn't how you should be running your business. I also just think that the attitude of our server and the person who cashed us out wad very good. Not good customer service in my opinion. There are many other options in the area for mexican food and I would rather give my business to people who truly appreciate it“

“Finally gave this place a try. Close to close, so unfortunately out of the current recommended special which tells me they use fresh ingredients. My host and friend Gabe set me up with Braised Beef Tacos that are loaded and explode out the shells with flavors. Chrysta(l?) behind the bar was super friendly and welcoming despite not even buying a fricken drink! Ryan also introduced and checked in to make sure I was all set. I'll give them another try for sure. Come for the food, stay for the hospitality!“

“Ive never had an unimpressive dish from El Comalito. Everything Ive had is awesome. BUT, I will say that the Carne Asada burrito, is nothing short of incredible. Beans or no beans, either way is amazing. Better than Bueno y Sano, better than La Veracruzana, better than Garcias, Better than Mission Cantina, its hands down the best in the area. In a town full of similar Latin American restaurants, El Comalito stands out on a different level.“

“The atmosphere and staff were lacking . The tv was off and there was no music. Only one staff person and she had no personality, didn’t even acknowledge the customers as the waited in line. Food was still excellent“

“I loved the great good tasting food because I think this is the most convenient place I have ever been. For starters I got my favorite meal at Taco Bell. And so breadsticks they were cooked to perfection and I will be attending here again

“I had an adult meltdown because the giftcard that I got through my bank was a pain to use. Had to download the app and the TB app wouldn't allow me to pay the difference of the total and giftcard with my card... Makes you think how little these corperations care about their staff.
The folks working here were concise, patient and kind with my frustration, despite likely working a long shift. Thanks y'all.“
