“For years, I breezed past this spot, assuming it was just and old convenience store. Little did I know, I was missing out on some good sandwich deals. A few months back, I discovered they were slinging subs, so I stopped by a couple times to grab some cold subs.
P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.“

“The ribs are fall-off-the-bone, tender, and well seasoned. The ribs & chicken dinner comes with a side of toast, rice or fries, 2 onion rings, salad, and a sauce of your choice. I loved the variety of food in my meal. The service was amazing, and so are the prices. Highly recommend!“

“Best in the world I live for it. After working all week I take myself there and their chicken salad is the best in the world. The potato salad is scrumptious the people that work there are the best. They take good care of you and care about their customers they make it so pleasant going in there. it’s the yummiest most delicious chicken salad and potato salad I have ever had and I’m from a family of good cooks. “I tried this place yesterday for the first time and I am so impressed! So far I’ve had the tabbouleh, the Israeli salad, baked fish with veggies, challah and chocolate babka and they were all so, go good! I still have frozen soups and a mushroom pot pie to try and can’t wait to eat my way through them this week for lunch. The fish was so good I can hardly believe it was frozen. My daughter kept asking for bites so I will be sure to buy multiple next time. I’ve been meaning to try this place and wish I’d gotten here sooner. They are gluten and dairy free and mostly meat free as well. A lot of their ingredients are organic and they use quality oil. They were telling me while I was there that they grind some of their flours in house. You can taste the quality! It’s so nice to have a safe, healthy and DELICIOUS option for take out! This place is worth the trip and I will absolutely be back. 😊“

“My opinion is 9.6/10. Came here because of man vs food did the 2 lbs burger. This place till this day has the juiciest burger meat I ever had was literally dripping down my arm, but not only juicy flavorful and highly enjoyable. “Was the first place we ate during out first trip to Boston, and was just a good, solid sandwich to have after traveling all day. There was not one weakness in that sandwich. The onion rings were pipping hot, crispy, and BIG. If we ever make it back to this area we will definitely stop by.“

“Great locally owned spot for breakfast. The food was fast and fresh! And a great value! I had the 3 cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes, they were skin-on reds! My young daughter (9) had the English muffin egg and bacon —she wholeheartedly agreed. Beats the socks off the chain places nearby with preprepped frozen foods being made by people who don’t care.“
“Stopped in today, this was my second time shopping. Got 10lbs fresh kielbasa and lots of other goodies. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I’m not Polish, but my husband and kids are, so I cook the traditional Polish food. I will definitely keep coming back, so hard to find good authentic Polish food!!“

“March 8th we had a retirement party catered from Stevie and gang at Sammys. Cold Cut Platter Assorted Calzone Chicken Boccoli and Ziti Sausage Potato Pepper and Onion Garden salad and dressing. Delivered to Saugus!!! Hot. Fresh. On time. Cost effective. Tasty!!!! Plentiful, we ran out of nothing with 50 adults, mostly men. 5 star job. ☆☆☆☆☆ Will use for the next gathering as well. “Ate here on vacation twice and the family loved it. Breakfast was great- I had the breakfast sandwich and the kids had pancakes. Lunch had many unexpected items. I had the musaka, which I had no idea what it was, but it was amazing. The guys working the counter bantered and were a ton of fun.“

“After 5 days in the hospital bringing my daughter into the world, my wife wanted the best Italian sub in Quincy and I found it here. I had the turkey gobbler which was fantastic. Both subs were stuffed with cold cuts/turkey! $28 for two giant subs and a pound of pasta salad; I'd bet there was $10 of Boars head cold cuts in each. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this place sooner. I'll be back again and again.

“Parking: Great place to grab a healthy meal to go or to enjoy while you do some people watching on Centre Street. My favorite is the Thanksgiving Day Sub, delicious every time. They have all the things you would expect at a convenience store with lots of Irish specials food too. There is a guy named Ahmad there, and he is incredibly kind. Stop in, grab a snack and tell him Alice said hello.“

“This place has been a Gem growing up. You get massive bon mes for very good prices. I got a giant beef barbecue bon me for only $8 tax included. They don’t skimp on the meat and you’re always filled up by the end of your meal. Additionally the flavor is just right, it’s hits every time. The only thing to be wary of is that they are cash only! Other than that I highly recommend!“
