Alex's Chimis is a restaurant in Boston that offers a variety of dishes, including Dominican whole rotisserie chicken, fried pork, sandwiches (chimis), smoothies, rice and beans, and plantains. The chicken is known for its moist and flavorful meat, and the plantains and yucca are also popular choices. The food is simple, hearty, and made with good ingredients, often described as unpretentious but flavorful. Customers praise the generous portions, especially the Chicharrones, which are tender and crispy, and the empanadas with flaky, soft dough. The service is friendly and welcoming, making it a good spot for families and gatherings. The red onions are a must-try topping. Although the shop is small and has no dine-in seating, it remains a community favorite and a hidden foodie spot in Boston, appreciated for its authentic and delicious Spanish and Dominican dishes.
