“This place is authentic Dominican food. I been to several DR restaurant and this is my go to for 3 reasons:portions ,price and flavor. I have tried the beef pastelito and the chicken 10/10. I always get the rice with pigeon peas, the fried pork belly and sweet plantain. They give generous amounts and the food is always fresh hot and delicious. I literally drive into Boston to come here on Saturday late mornings/early afternoons to get the pastelito. Even the selection of beverages are delish! If you are thinking of coming here, drive as fast as you can because it is so good! P.s My dad put me onto this restaurant ..we are Filipino“

“4-Star Review for Alex’s Chimis
Alex’s Chimis serves up some seriously delicious Spanish food, and the flavors never disappoint! Every dish is well-seasoned, cooked to perfection, and definitely hits the spot. If you’re craving authentic and tasty Spanish cuisine, this is a solid choice.
That being said, I do feel like the portions could be more generous, especially for the price. I’ve been to other Spanish restaurants where you get enough food to easily feed two to three people for the same price, whereas here, the portions are more single-serving. While the food is amazing, a little more value for the price would make it even better.
Overall, if you’re looking for great-tasting Spanish food, Alex’s Chimis is still worth checking out. Just keep in mind that the portions aren’t as big as some other spots. Definitely recommend for the flavor, though!“
“Highly recommend to try this place versus La Parada Kitchen. They reopened and the food is fresh. Fair prices. Great variety. If you are nice to them they will be nice to you.
I recommend that you try this place vs La Parada Cocina. They reopened and the food was fresh on the block. Fair prices. So much variety. If you treat them well, they will take care of you too.“

“It was my first time visiting “Antojitos”. I had the “3 golpes” breakfast and a “morir soñado” juice! Perfection! I originally ordered for pick-up. However, decided to dine-in instead, due to the sweet and welcoming staff. The place is cozy and meticulously clean. I loved it here!
Parking: Metered street parking, depending on the day. Also, 15 min street parking and/or free street parking available, again depending on the day.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a family environment. Kids are definitely welcomed!“

“The food was more than amazing, along with the prices being highly affordable especially for the size of the plates!! You won't be disappointed stopping in! 100% recommend the chicharrón!“
“Las Palmas catered my daughter’s 1st Birthday, and I was blown away at the quality of this food for the price! It was beyond delicious, and not only that, the detail they put into their presentation is what really sets them apart from other places I’ve used in the past. I will certainly be using Las Palmas again for future events. Thank you for completing our baby girls birthday.“

“Food is basic but healthy and hearty. Could use some hot sauces on the table. Not as great a selection as in Colombian restaurants, nor as enticingly sauced. And no sangria ☺️“

“Stopped by today. Place is remodeled and clean. They have a few rice options, few meat options, bacalao, empanadas, plantations and cassava ready to go. I ordered a rice and beef plate, empanadas and a side of another rice. Everything was pretty good. Parking on side streets.“

“This place shines with its fresh and healthy juices—some of the best I've had! On our recent visit, my girlfriend and I decided to explore their food menu, trying the advertised Colombian Yaroa and the chopped onion sandwich.
The Yaroa was a visual match for the photos, a mountain of loaded fries with corn, chicken, bacon bits, small sausages, and a generous drizzle of sauces. At $20, it's a hefty plate. While it looked impressive, the taste was just okay for me. I'd give it a 7/10 – it needed more chicken and cheese (the sausage was a standout!), and honestly, I don't think I'd order it again at that price point. My girlfriend, Pao, agreed, rating it a 6/10 and noting she's had better Yaroas for less.
The chopped onion sandwich, reminiscent of a New York chop cheese, also looked just like the photos. The flavor was definitely there, a solid 8/10 for both Pao and me. However, at $11, the sandwich was a bit small, leaving us still hungry. While the size was a drawback, I'd happily give it another try.“

“Great Dominican Food! It’s generous portions and fresh. Staff are very friendly and accommodating (For English Speakers, there might be a language barrier, they speak mostly Spanish depending who’s there.) Only issue I have is please set up a menu with firm prices, whenever I go there sometimes prices fluctuate and it can be a bit deceiving at times to the customer. But, overall I do recommend for anyone trying to try Dominican food and looking for good portions in a inflated economy for food prices. Also, PLZZ PUT CHICHARRÓN CON YUCA OUT MORE OFTEN, it’s good but y’all run outttt :(
Parking: Good amount of parking there, just be careful you aren’t parked where the residents for Charlestown are.“

“Incredible empanadas. They are large and freshly fried. Their online ordering system is very easy, but be aware that they don’t usually have everything on the menu and you will be asked if you want to make substitutions when you go to pick up. Each empanada came with a side of chipotle mayo. Underrated flavor was the eggplant parm— so comforting. We would come here again!“

“I've only tried the empanadas so far, but I don't need to try anything else to know this place is great. They taste amazing. The edges are crunchy while the center is nice and soft. The best part of the empanadas though is that they feel oily at all, so you wont regret eating multiple.“

“They serve lunch by the pound. Really, really good Dominican place. The rice and beans were solid but the meats are where they shine. The pork and chicken are soooo good, and it's so much food for $10. Highly recommend!
They sell lunch by the pound. It is a very, very rich Dominican site. The rice and beans were very good, but the best are the meats. The pernil (pork) and stewed chicken were soooo good and it's a lot of food for only $10. I definitely recommend it!“

“Tiny, inexpensive ,no frills place with friendly young staff serving up classic Dominican tostados, toasted sandwiches. Takeout only, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. Sandwiches were delicious but a real surprise was the quality of the fruit smoothies! My mango and passion fruit smoothie was so rich and summery, not drenched in sugar at all.“

“I am a fan of their res ( stew beef) , habichuela (beans) and arroz (rice ) ? they use to give good portions but things have changed , it’s 2022 now and prices are up but it’s worth it still . It ain’t that expensive. It’s enough to feed two if your ordering a plate for $18“
