“The donuts are amazing but this review is for Ruben, the manager at the Rt 1 location. I had to travel for business today and it happens to also be my son’s 15th birthday. Because my son has celiac disease, options for baked goods is limited, especially when your plane lands at 6:30pm on the big day and gluten free options aren’t known to last long once baked. Unfortunately, living in Southern New Hampshire, delivery via UberEats or GrubHub wasn’t an option But, being a father himself, Ruben kindly offered to deliver them personally after work. This man went above and beyond, first driving home to pick up his kids. You see, his wife needed to get to her job so he brought his kids along for the adventure. In addition, he refused all forms of tipping despite my repeated insistence. He explained that he hopes someone would do the same for his kids if he was in my position and, as the manager, he felt compelled to make it happen. Ruben, you’re an angel, one in a million, an amazing human! I hope you receive back the blessing you bestowed on me and my son 10-fold! Thank you isn’t enough. “The sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was the best I’ve found in the area. They have classic New England coffee. It is all at an extremely affordable and reasonable price. Most importantly, the folks working are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Twin Donuts!“

“This tiny small store in Newton Centre serves up several variations of what is now my favorite dessert - mochi donuts. As I was never a big fan of (overly) sweet delights, I've never bothered to try them despite hearing about it until recently at an event. I was truly surprised as I didn't just take a bite BUT finished the whole thing in less than a minute (once again, a pretty big feat for someone who doesn't prefer sweet treats). It wasn't overly sweet like normal donuts and the texture is far more delightful and chewy as much as it was moist. The flavors were potent and quite addicting. “I've been wanting to try the donuts here for ages. I'm so glad I finally made it in. They're melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Their honey glazed is like a giant crispy Kreme. The donuts are Super fluffy. This also appears to be a great hang spot for coffee and lottery (as seen by the locals).

I still love my Kanes, but this is a nice SS alternative.

“This place is THE BOMB. Just a grill in the back pumping out fresh and delicious sandwiches. I’ve had a few breakfast sandwiches, and they never disappoint. The bagels are some of the best in the area. Don’t sleep on the donuts either. The cake ones in particular are just phenomenal.

However, the hired help suggested the Boston Creme Bismarck. With deep chocolate icing and homemade raise dough, the treat was satiating and tasty to beat the band. Usually the custard fillsof these are synthetical smooth. But I noticed a more natural taste and texture. At $5.00 a pop, I'm not gone get calorically greedy.“

There are a LOT more options now and the employee was so kind and patient, answering all of my questions and explaining the options. She even recommended using the computerized ordering system if I wanted to see photos. The Shared Tea lets you customize everything down to how much ice you want and how sweet you want your drink (great accommodation for those on special diets.) My lychee tea came with chunks of crushed lychee in it and was really delicious.
