“Choosing Independence Harbor was a decision that we will never regret. We had our wedding at the end of March 2025 and worked with both Sydney and Jocelyn. Communication with Sydney was constant and she was always available if we had a question. The price for the venue was also so affordable and staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the ceremony and reception. We would recommend this venue to anyone getting married and were so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with Sydney and Jocelyn.“

“I’ve been wanting to take my girlfriend to The River House for a while now, and with the weather finally cooperating, tonight was the night—and it did not disappoint. We grabbed a spot outside along the bar area overlooking the river, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.

🍹 I kicked things off with a strong Stoli Troli, while she went all in on their Mai Tai—tropical, smooth, and just the right amount of kick.

🦪 For an appetizer, we shared their stuffed quahog, which was spot on with a little melted butter and a dash of Tabasco. Pure New England flavor.

🥩 For dinner, I went with the steak tips (tender + flavorful), paired with sweet potato fries and their broccoli Caesar—honestly, the broccoli stole the show.

I promise it’s not what it used to be, too many people pass this place without giving it a shot, it’s an absolute GEM! What a nice place, I’m so happy I decided to stop by despite what many of the older crowd has said to me. I’m a local, I’m 21, and I’m a young guy, apparently according to the locals this place was such a dive back then. I could not be more happy to learn that it’s not what it used to be at all! I have to say the strawberry mango smoothies are addictive. Wish I could say the same about the desserts, though. The Cinnamon Rolls were disappointing; the Apple Pie was more apple mush than an actual pie slice, and the blondie was not up to the Applebee's usual standard. Somebody please resurrect the desserts. “Great pizza 🍕!! Prime rib is a good portion! Hot meatball grinder or ziti with meatballs is also a favorite. Excellent fish and chips-freshest fish ever! Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Oh, they have a salad 🥗 with grilled chicken, dried cranberries, cheese 🧀, cukes, onions and they have a raspberry vinaigrette that is sooooo good!! I make my own but this I could drink by the glass!! Lol 😂“

“The epitome of Family Owned Restaurant ❤️ We come from West Springfield to enjoy the delicious breakfast and wonderful staff. This past Mother's Day we showed up at 8 am without a reservation (I never even thought of it) We were so nervous we wouldn't get a spot but the wonderful staff said no problem and we were seated within minutes. Our food was excellent and the waitress was beyond helpful. I always order extra water for my personal cup (obviously Mom has the best cup of water) and fill it then get more water to drink at the table. Thank you for starting off our Mother's Day with full bellies.“
