“My husband and I got married at Barrett's Olde Scotland Links this past September. Although it was a rainy day, nothing stopped us from having fun! Everyone loved the food and drinks. We had a specialty cocktail for guests which was a tequila lemonade with edible blue glitter and blueberries. It was so incredibly good. Then for dinner we had Burrata sweet corn ravioli (my favorite) breaded chicken, and veggies. We had several passed apps, my favorite being the Chrizo Rissoto balls (delish!).

We opted to get married under the tent, which Im SO grateful we did since it rained. The tent was gorgeous and such a vibe.

Allison Kmetz was our coordinator and was AMAZING. She was able to help my husband and I every step of the way. From answering emails, to providing multiple opportunities for food tastings, to day of setup and breakdown.

The prices were also so affordable. We had an amazing day and didnt have to stress about taking out loans, or maxing out credit cards. Barretts is truly an affordable place, but provides an exceptional experience! 10/10 recommend for future brides!“

“I’ve been a Bridgewater local coming to this joint for the last two years. I’m happy to say that I was very satisfied with the pizza which had me coming back. More recently I’ve been coming here with my girl on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the service that Ben and Shane provide is 10/10! We loveeee it here!!!“

“One of my favorite spots! Whenever I call, I get greeted with the same friendly and bubbly voice. They always remember my order (Greek salad with grilled chicken and no tomato) and its always perfect. The salad is so big I usually have it over two days, great spot!“

“Recently took some friends to Towne Tavern. They were all excited to get the Viking Steak Sandwich. We get it every time we go, which is fairly often. So disappointed that it is not on the menu any longer. Also the Calamari is not on the menu. Don’t understand why it was removed. I was under the impression that it was a popular item.“

“First timer. Crowded but no wait. Had the feel of higher class Bickford's. I had a 5 eggwhite omelet with tomatoes feta and bacon. Excellent except the bacon was way undercooked. I did not alert the server. The server was a little robotic but friendly and very professional. The restrooms need updated. Yesterday.“

“Somewhere Else Tavern along Rte. 127 in Bryantville/Pembroke, Mass. I must say I've been at the building, since 2009 (15 years) when it was "Old School". It was a building then, a bar/restaurant of sorts, but now it is someplace special. Since Lori and Jayson, who also own the "Fork in the Road" delicatessen in Bryantville and the Olde Hitching Post restaurant in Hanson, took over the restaurant and renamed it, it is now a place for excellent food, beverages, and a wonderful, wonderful group of people, their patrons. What makes Somewhere Else truly special is that on almost every night, Jayson, Lori, or Lori's sister, Lee Ann, will be there taking care of their customers..... their friends. This past Sunday, was Lori's birthday and EVERYONE was included to celebrate her birthday, Chinese food (seemingly Lori's favorite), cake and ice cream shared with all. But best of all, was not the food, but the celebration of friendship.... Thank you Lori, Jayson and Lee Ann. For those of you who have not stopped by, do so. You'll enjoy your time at the Somewhere Else Tavern.“

“We held the Pembroke Council on Aging's Volunteer Luncheon there on April 14th. From the start of planning to the end of the event Debbie and her staff were on point. Debbie was very easy to work with and I would go back there in a heartbeat.“

“Second time here, both occasions were good. Just went 3 days ago, great comfort food, especially their lunch menu. Beer was good, had a bunch of options for draft. Especially liked the buffalo chicken dip and chocolate chip cookie skillet. I had the bacon grilled cheese, it was pretty good although $15 is a little steep, but acceptable nonetheless. Nice location by the river and plenty of parking. Service was attentive and welcoming. I’d recommend eating here.“

They handled everything the day of and ensured our wedding was a huge success. We didn't have to worry or stress about a single thing. There are many lovely places around the area to eat but I can say no one place has ever prompted me to write a review till now. My fiance & I ate here less than a month ago & were back this week as we kick off 2026. We eat out about twice a week & this is by Far our favorite spot! After our 2nd visit, we left & couldn't stop raving to each other. We are so impressed with the food, staff, prices, drinks & I'd like to say staff, again, lol! “Stopped by today for a late breakfast. Truly amazing!! Chef Jerry He did an outstanding job constructing a culinary masterpiece of my favorite breakfast Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and one of the best I've had!! The maple ham stacked on top of a really nicely buttered bread was incredible!! Definitely worth the trip and we will be back again!!“

This will be my new go to for Chinese.“

“We recently got married at The Fireside and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the event coordinator, Kelly. She was knowledgeable and kind and really put so much into making sure our day was perfect! Our son is 3 and had a hard time with the busy day and she even went out of her way to get him candy rings for his "Ring Security" box and took him to see the trucks so he'd smile in photos. We are so appreciative of all of her efforts and highly recommend the Fireside for your next event!“

We have been having this pizza since way back in the 80’s when it was at the railroad station when every pizza was perfect. Glad too see that same quality again. “I have to say every time I go to your restaurant, all I ever order is your fried chicken because it is the best I have ever had. I always order the four piece dinner so this way I have some to take home to eat the next day. I love it so much. But I have to say I was there yesterday July 1 and I finally decided to try something different and I tried your pizza and it was amazing. The crust was not too thick and not too thin and the sauce was really good. I’m Italian and I make my own homemade sauce and I have to say yours was very good. All the toppings were perfect just the right amount. Can’t wait to go back again and try something else on the menu even though I still love your chicken. Your staff is very friendly and attentive. It is worth the 40 minute drive to go and have your food. Looking forward to next time, thank you.“
