“My husband and I got married at Barrett's Olde Scotland Links this past September. Although it was a rainy day, nothing stopped us from having fun! Everyone loved the food and drinks. We had a specialty cocktail for guests which was a tequila lemonade with edible blue glitter and blueberries. It was so incredibly good. Then for dinner we had Burrata sweet corn ravioli (my favorite) breaded chicken, and veggies. We had several passed apps, my favorite being the Chrizo Rissoto balls (delish!).

We opted to get married under the tent, which Im SO grateful we did since it rained. The tent was gorgeous and such a vibe.

Allison Kmetz was our coordinator and was AMAZING. She was able to help my husband and I every step of the way. From answering emails, to providing multiple opportunities for food tastings, to day of setup and breakdown.

The prices were also so affordable. We had an amazing day and didnt have to stress about taking out loans, or maxing out credit cards. Barretts is truly an affordable place, but provides an exceptional experience! 10/10 recommend for future brides!“

“First timer. Crowded but no wait. Had the feel of higher class Bickford's. I had a 5 eggwhite omelet with tomatoes feta and bacon. Excellent except the bacon was way undercooked. I did not alert the server. The server was a little robotic but friendly and very professional. The restrooms need updated. Yesterday.“

“Recently took some friends to Towne Tavern. They were all excited to get the Viking Steak Sandwich. We get it every time we go, which is fairly often. So disappointed that it is not on the menu any longer. Also the Calamari is not on the menu. Don’t understand why it was removed. I was under the impression that it was a popular item.“

“One of my favorite spots! Whenever I call, I get greeted with the same friendly and bubbly voice. They always remember my order (Greek salad with grilled chicken and no tomato) and its always perfect. The salad is so big I usually have it over two days, great spot!“

“Second time here, both occasions were good. Just went 3 days ago, great comfort food, especially their lunch menu. Beer was good, had a bunch of options for draft. Especially liked the buffalo chicken dip and chocolate chip cookie skillet. I had the bacon grilled cheese, it was pretty good although $15 is a little steep, but acceptable nonetheless. Nice location by the river and plenty of parking. Service was attentive and welcoming. I’d recommend eating here.“

“Stopped by today for a late breakfast. Truly amazing!! Chef Jerry He did an outstanding job constructing a culinary masterpiece of my favorite breakfast Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and one of the best I've had!! The maple ham stacked on top of a really nicely buttered bread was incredible!! Definitely worth the trip and we will be back again!!“

“I uprooted from the South Coast area 5 years ago & landed in the Abington area. There are many lovely places around the area to eat but I can say no one place has ever prompted me to write a review till now. My fiance & I ate here less than a month ago & were back this week as we kick off 2026. We eat out about twice a week & this is by Far our favorite spot! After our 2nd visit, we left & couldn't stop raving to each other. We are so impressed with the food, staff, prices, drinks & I'd like to say staff, again, lol! “Somewhere Else Tavern along Rte. 127 in Bryantville/Pembroke, Mass. I must say I've been at the building, since 2009 (15 years) when it was "Old School". It was a building then, a bar/restaurant of sorts, but now it is someplace special. Since Lori and Jayson, who also own the "Fork in the Road" delicatessen in Bryantville and the Olde Hitching Post restaurant in Hanson, took over the restaurant and renamed it, it is now a place for excellent food, beverages, and a wonderful, wonderful group of people, their patrons. What makes Somewhere Else truly special is that on almost every night, Jayson, Lori, or Lori's sister, Lee Ann, will be there taking care of their customers..... their friends. This past Sunday, was Lori's birthday and EVERYONE was included to celebrate her birthday, Chinese food (seemingly Lori's favorite), cake and ice cream shared with all. But best of all, was not the food, but the celebration of friendship.... Thank you Lori, Jayson and Lee Ann. For those of you who have not stopped by, do so. Each time the food was raved about and what was ordered varied from pastries, salads, pizza, pasta dishes to chicken and sausage platters.
