“Wow. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of my recent experience at Burger King on Pittsfield Road. On the way home from shopping at Stop & Shop in Lenox, my son asked for food from Burger King. I can’t remember the last time I have been there. I almost said no but I am so thankful I did not. It’s a hard one to explain, since I have been to so many fast food drive-throughs in my life. Tonight was so very different. The first person I interacted with had a sense of humor (Surprising, especially since the drive-through line was so long.) But the best part was a female in the background (helping with orders) echoing his humor. I don’t remember the exact words exchanged, but as I was waiting, felt like I was being treated to a comedy show. The two of them sounded like they were having so much fun! When I arrived at the window to pick up my order they handed it to me with a smile. I’m writing this because, in today’s world, what I experienced tonight is rare. I am quite sure these employees do not make a living wage. And yet, they show up at Burger King WITH a sense of humor! Thank you to all of you who show up with a smile. ✨“

“Angelina’s will always have a special place in my heart. I grew up in Pittsfield, and every time I come back to visit family I make sure to stop in and get a tomato and cheese sub before I leave town. It’s become a tradition I look forward to every time.

There’s something about it that’s incredibly nostalgic. I’ve eaten at plenty of sub shops over the years and I work in Boston where there are endless options, but Angelina’s always hits differently.

“Ordered 2 fish, was asked to pull aside. A sweet girl came and apologetically said only one was available. Offered reimbursement or credit for a fish meal. I said credit would be fine. She thanked me for not being disgruntled as I'm sure happens often. Several days later I ordered the replacement fish and she remembered the transaction and she brought it out shortly and thanked me by name. Don't know her name but I do know you don't get many fast food employees like that. I hope you appreciate her!“
