“Absolutely my favorite place for sushi when adding together freshness, service, and timeliness. After moving to Massachusetts from Florida, there has barely been any place with real flavor up here. After checking the reviews I saw this place might have some potential for a good price. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables, and the perfect hominess. We wanted to go out somewhere for Valentine’s Day with our baby, not somewhere too crowded considering she’s in her chaotic phase, and we went here. We got a maki party platter for us and a chicken teriyaki for the baby. It’s an adult portion so we decided to have something for her to have lunch and dinner with the next day. The sushi came out and it was so amazing and honestly super fast too. Then came the babies plate, it comes with a miso soup so we were able to get her to try it and she loved that. Then we cut up her food into bite size pieces and as we were preparing it, even though I personally hate chicken, it was SO FLAVORFUL!! We had to keep going back to her plate for tiny bites because it was delicious, the chicken was NOT dry and it felt so clean and refreshing each bite. Then when in regard to the service, WOW the waitress was absolutely the sweetest ever, was so interactive with our baby and attentive to us. Our new regular place for sure.“

They recognize me when I come to pick up lunch despite only going about once a month, and the staff is always so friendly. I recommend it to all my coworkers, and always look forward to my lunches from there.“

“We got some good sushi rolls and for a very reasonable price, considering the area. I’m not entirely sure what the theme/aesthetic they are going for is in terms of interior decor but that doesn’t take away anything really. It’s a neighborhood joint so don’t expect a fine dining experience. But it’s good food, nice people, and decent prices. Will definitely go back!“

The crab rangoon, spring rolls, scallion pancakes are excellent. The soup is delicious and the salad dressing is old school authentic. You are missing out on great food if you have not been.“

“Legit—if you could take high quality omakase level sushi to-go for a fraction of the price, this would be it. We got their signature bento box and it is essentially a 10 course omakase times two since there's two of each distinctly heavenly piece. Truly the Noah's ark of sushi. They curated this box perfectly. Each one uniquely melted in our mouth releasing the pure flavor of each insanely fresh ingredient. On top of their thoughtfully elegant packaging/presentation, they included a list of each piece and where they were sourced. Like I said, legit. I'm not big on uni, but they had that top shelf Hokkaido uni that has the power to change minds. Seriously though, food so good you can't help but have multiple favorites. Also, I'm big on wasabi, and theirs is notably authentic. Perfectly balanced with that pleasant kick to the sinuses.

The folks here are super nice and are more than happy to answer any questions on the phone. It's also worth noting that they operate out of Billy C's, so if you find yourself in their parking lot, you're at the right place. This is a true hidden gem. Do not sleep on this place. Go here, tell your friends, tell your family, enjoy their top-tier food, and praise the Lord for it. Looking forward to coming back!“

“genki ya is one of my favorite sushi spots!! the food is always super fresh, the rolls are perfectly made, and the portions are really generous for the price. the staff is always so kind and fast too, it just feels like they actually care about the customers. everything tastes clean and consistent every time i go. if you love sushi, you’ll love genki ya:)“

I have ordered from many Asian restaurants and so often the pictures and descriptions look amazing. However, once delivered and eaten, it was all good, but didn’t have the wow factor! I ordered four different dishes from this place and every single one had the wow factor, it was such an explosion of deliciousness in each and every bite! “Hidden gem in greater Boston. Omakase beats my expectations, and the pork belly is probably the best I’ve tasted this year. Considering I’ve spent 2 months in China and Japan this year, the bar is pretty high, but the chef here did it.

Only thing to improve is probably the fact that there’s no high chair, but understandable as I think the chef would want it to be quieter and the sofa seats could handle most kids as long as they’re not too little. Wait time could be long, but worth it.“

I ordered delivery and when the driver got here, he immediately asked for a tip, before trying to give me my foodm first of all that is BEYOND RUDE. You dont know if I tipped on card or if I did have cash for you, but just EXPECTING it. No you dont get a tip in my eyes, that is not OK. If you're delivering and all you are expecting is a tip every time, I feel bad because not everyone tips.“

“This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for a decade. It’s convenient, fast, and immaculate. The sushi is made right in front of you and has always been fresh and delicious. I’ve gone there on date night and I’ve had office parties there and it’s always been awesome. As good as the food is, the staff is better. Especially Tiffany who does everything here including cooking, taking orders, bartending, and making everyone feel like their family. The first time I went there she waited on our table. 6 months later I came back for the second time. She it only remembered my name, she also remembered every dish we’d ordered the first time.
