“We went to dinner and decided 7.00 Lobster Quesadilla for an appetizer, they were very good. We had.Baked Haddock Sauteed zucchini with roasted potatoes. It a classic, our favorite entree. We had New York Cheesecake drizzled with Caramel Sauce. Outstanding Mona was our server, she friendly, helpful and attentive. A charming woman, I hope have her an our server next time we go for dinner.“

“Hit this place for lunch on a midweek April afternoon and found it almost empty. The waitstaff was fine, and the fish and chips were delicious and hot. (The local haddock is always tasty) My friend said her tuna melt was good but not great. Nice water view.“

The homemade pastas that you bite into and your teeth feel that little firmness,😃, the flavors that your palate starts taking on, your brain instantly wants MORE! As you savor (and possibly moan a bit to loud lol) the incredible flavors of something as simple as carbonara, w/prosciutto, red onions & Romano cheese. Every visit, including take-out has been 💯% spot on! Mentioning take out, we recently dined outside, and watched the grubbers (grub hub) mad dashes in and out multiple times! We recognized at least 3 drivers, non stop pickup and drop orders, repeatedly! Thank you so much Little Store for your incredible hard work (when no one wants to work and think they should get everything free🤬🤬🤬) You are what America is built on! From the front of the house to last dish washed, you are all a generous team, so it appears from the outside. Great Job! P.S.Your freshness is duly noted!!! There are desserts, lemon mascarpone 🍰 cheesecake (can’t remember if it’s cake or cheesecake…red, red, wine..) Just stupid delicious at the end of a fantastic meal!! “I grew up going to the coasts of NH and ME but never spent any time on the North Shore of MA. I was aware of the debate surrounding the Clam Box vs Woodman’s and took this vacation opportunity to do my own comparison. The fried seafood was very good - not greasy, very fresh and flavorful. Where Woodman’s let me down was their clam chowder. I prefer a really thick chowder, the kind where your plastic spoon stands up on its own. That would have been so comforting on the rainy, windy, cold day I was there but sadly, it was just too watery and thin without much flavor. Seafood: thumbs up, Chowder: thumbs down“

“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“The mexican cesar salad was top tier, the appetizers were all very delicious and the lava cake really ended the night beautifully. The view of the marina and hearing all the seals really added to the vibe and sitting by the fire and having the heat lamp on made it such a cozy atmosphere. Coming back again!“

“I went there for a late lunch today. The stuffed clam dinner came with a large portion of fries, a tasting of coleslaw, cocktail sauce and a roll. To be honest, 1 stuffed clam and a few fries was MORE than filling! I took the rest home for dinner - it was delicious! It was relatively quiet when I was there, and it was hard to find waitstaff when I needed something she forgot (they were all congregated by the “seat yourself / cash only” sign). I would definitely go again and get the side order of stuffed clams next time.“

“We went to Finz on a Saturday afternoon. We were a party of 8, and being they don’t take reservations, we were lucky to find seats at the bar. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. The food here was absolutely delicious. It’s the best dining we had in Salem. The clam chowder soup was so delicious, the burgers were great, my friends had oysters and loved them, the lobster roll was delicious. There is an ample sushi menu and the sushi was great. Definitely try the squash wedge and beet and goat cheese salad. The restaurant is on the water, and it’s nice and spacious. The drinks were great as were the bartenders. Do not leave Salem without dining here!“

“Been going here since the late 70’s. One of the best roast beef seafood restaurants on the north shore. I moved from Peabody to Florida in 2018 and wish we had a roast beef seafood place that was even half as good. I still visit Peabody once a year and this is always on my list of places to go. Food is still great. Yes it may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I think they are fair, everywhere prices have increased, I would rather pay a little more and keep the quality. Love this place.“

“My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. “When I popped into Mike's for a quick roast beef, I wasn't expecting anything special. I eat a lot of roast beefs and have high standards. I have to say, Mike's impressed me. The beef was massive, perfectly cooked, and the sauce was somehow better than it normally is. I highly recommend everyone who likes roast beef give Mike's a shot.“

“I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees!
