“We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday last night at La Fabrica. I drove almost 2 hours to get to the restaurant from the Springfield, MA area because I wanted to my daughter to have authentic Spanish food and dance to a live band. I have to say the reservation team was amazing. I had to add to my reservation last minute and when I notified them I was going to be late, they moved my reservation to another time with no hesitation. They were very accommodating. The food, drinks, and the dining room staff service was great, especially our waitress. After dinner we chose to stay in the front bar area to enjoy the live band. We started to dance and have a great till first a waiter yelled at us for being in the way and told us we couldn't stand where we were standing. We moved again and someone else told us to move again. We tried to dance again and got spoked to AGAIN. We understand the place is very small and gets packed but it was very annoying, so unfortunately we left. I was enjoying the live band but the constant being told to move and move was annoying. I wish the restaurant would expand their front room or remove all the dining tables to make more room or move the live back to their back club room. That's just my opinion because it's a shame not to enjoy a live band and not being able to dance or move around instead of standing in place in a room packed like sardines. I would love to go back but because of the limited space, I would probably go somewhere else.“

“The Jerk Lamb Chops will change your life if you are a fan of spicy food. They are tender, perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. Admittedly, if you are not a fan of spicy food they're probably not your vibe but if you are they will make as happy as they made me.

Fete has always been a very fun place for me to visit. The music is always great and the drinks are tasty too!“

“Top Tier Authentic Good Haitian food in my opinion.I love their rice individually grained and light and not greasy. The portions are generous everything comes in its separate container from the meat, the rice and sos pwa or legume. For now on Fridays you get free mac n cheese with your order .This is your mother your aunt your Grandma your wife cooking food for you fresh from the kitchen with love.“

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place and I'm glad we did!
It was our first time eating Haitian food so we were excited.

The woman tending to us was so sweet and explained to us our options and let us try samples. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and I felt that love from her.

We ended up splitting a dinner plate with chicken, salad, plantains, rice, and mac n cheese. Everything was clearly homemade and delicious. Portions were generous and we both left full. They even made fresh cheesecake and gave us some to try, literally they were so kind!

Really I only have good things to say about this place and I recommend you support their business because they were awesome and the food was of high quality!!“

“i will definitely be visiting The D Coal Pot again very soon. The food is fresh taste great and really good. I was driving and came upon this restaurant i didn't plan on going to this restaurant but I said to self stop and get a few Patties and wouldn't you know they had no Patties. I left the restaurant with Corn Soup Peas & Rice Chicken Roti Beef Roti. I also got to try a dessert I've never had before I don’t know the name of it but had Guava Sweet Potato Coconut and other things to make this dessert which was really good so I ordered 2 to go. D Coal Pot is definitely a place you must visit and get a meal.“

“I am of Bajan decent. Today I experienced the goat and Coucou (sp?). It was so good that I found myself swaying and humming. I almost expected my Bajan grandmother to enter the room and join me. The food was so tasty, comforting and just spicy enough. I also had the opportunity to meet Chester, the owner and Chef. In speaking with him, it is clear to note that he is committed to his community. While recognizing some of the problems, he comes forward offering solutions! “My favorite thing about Codman Square! The roti is delicious, all the cooks are so friendly, the music is great, Wu is everybody's favorite guy, service is fast, and the spice cake is in my top ten desserts ever. On top of all that, the veggie roti and doubles are vegan!“

“Went here for the first time last night on a friends recommendation. Never tried Venezuelan food before but WOW we were absolutely blown away by the beef arepas and the mojitos . So delicious! We came on a Saturday and were seated immediately, and the food came out fast. Definitely coming back!“

Parking is tricky, because there is one entrance and one exit and they are not obvious, so be aware and careful when pulling in (especially if you’re crossing multiple lanes of traffic to do it), but there is free parking.

Also, lots of black ice right now in the lot, which is not the businesses fault, as I’m from of them it’s fine, but just be careful!!!“

“I don't know where to start because there are too much for me to say, first of all, I have been coming to this place for a period of time, it is mostly my Sundays spot to bring my family after church. Today is June 14th 2025….. I went in for a large steak I didn’t realize it was close to closing. I asked if they had steak to which… yes , was the reply….

I got the plate and he said it wasn’t enough steak…. So the other choice was chicken… mind you they had oxtail ( I overheard on my way out) ….. they charged me for a large steak…. It want even a whole piece of steak just broken chunks and 3 pieces of chicken…. I been yall since Blue Hill Ave days….. I am beyond disappointed….. this is the second time yall skimped me. There will not be a 3rd!!!!“

“Cannot recommend the Right Taste highly enough. The jerk chicken, rice with beans, and if you are lucky plantains are outstanding. I always try to pay cash with a nice tip to support a local business and last time only had two twenties. Rather than break the second bill, the owner said don’t worry about it. This is my small way to pay it forward.“

“I have only done take-out, but you can also eat here. The jerk chicken is good, and I have also enjoyed the oxtail and curry goat. The fish dishes are also tasty. Not as many vegetable sides as I would prefer, but still enjoyable as a treat every now and then.“
