“We stopped in just before 5pm on a Saturday and thankfully we did because the place got busy quickly. There was plenty of staff working to handle the night. One of us ordered a 2 meat tray with brisket & pork belly. The chosen sides were basement potato salad and Mac & cheese. The other ordered a pulled pork tray. Sides were coleslaw and Mac & cheese. Both had sweet tea and shared a bucket of biscuits w honey butter. The best part was the pulled pork. It was wicked moist and flavorful. I feel the brisket was a bit dry, but there are 3 sauces on the side. We loved the biscuits with honey butter and the Mac & cheese was good. Our meal came to about $77, before tip. The staff are mostly efficient but our waiter could have been better. He didn't ask what we wanted to drink when he greeted us, he wasn't very personable in comparison to another waiter who gave very detailed descriptions of the specials when speaking to a table next to us. We asked for a sweet tea refill and didn't get it. Seemed sporadic, but not new. We'd go back though to try it again.“

“The wings were very good. We split a large order between hot and the famous. Hit had a good kick and famous had a nice sweetness from agave syrup. The brisket was melt in your mouth. Burnt ends were tender. Both very good. The 2 potato salad side was different but ok. Sweet potato and white potato. Corn bread was firm and mac n cheese decent enough. Fries left alot to be desired. Service was great and bartender made a solid margarita. Was a great dinner stop before a local comedy show.“

“Last of the year bbq for our company and it was the Best decision we made to hire Chris and his staff at Big Pig!! Food was outstanding, service was great! Never before has my staff been so complementary to our past functions but this hit it off the charts!! Everyone that attended our bbq were satisfied with everything!! “Decided to go out for dinner with a few friends and it was delicious. I liked the citrus dressing on the avocado salad. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. For dessert, green tea ice cream is a must!“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“Went in this evening with family and friends. The food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed steak tips with rice and it was impeccable. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere has changed a lot (same great vibes) which I love. Charlie is such a kind and caring human. He’s always been a love! “Gyu-Kaku is always a fun time, but our server Andy L really made tonight's visit spectacular! Consistently checking in and refilling our water, changing our grill 3 times so that we could have the best flavor on our premium meats, and he was so charismatic and funny to boot! When we had questions about the best sauce to pair with each meat, he was so knowledgeable. And wildly patient when we took a little longer than planned to drink our pitcher - we will be back again SOON!!!“

“Whether you have a hankerin for BBQ or just something to wet your whistle, this is the place for you. Great food and drinks at phenomenal prices. The staff is one of the friendliest groups of people I’ve ever met and they make you feel like a family from your first visit. Can’t recommend this place enough - make sure you get the mozzarella sticks.“

“Food: the options for the grill were great, it was hard to understand at first but when you figure it out you can make pretty good food, it was tough to find some sauces due to the lack of labels
Service: the server did decent service, nothing bad but nothing notable
Atmosphere: the building was clean and presentable, there weren't food labels on a couple of items so it was difficult to know what you were eating if you haven't seen a lot of Korean food before“
