“Run don't walk to Pagu for absolutely scrumptious food that weaves together Japanese and Spanish Basques Cuisines! A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“

“Buttermilk and Bourbon is a must-visit for breakfast! The fried beignets are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—absolutely addictive. “I went for the first time earlier this week, and I thought it was great! Firstly they were very gracious about my indecisiveness on where I wanted to sit, and allowed me to switch tables. Twice. The bev list had a solid selection of natural wines from some of my favorite producers, but I ended up ordering a glass of one I've never tried before - a skin contact Carricante which matched nicely with the light char on our pizza. The food was fresh and vibrant, our server was attentive and engaging (sorry hun, I forgot your name, even though I asked a couple times, but you deserve a shout-out). Long story short, I went in hungry and slightly grumpy, I left happy and with a satisfied stomach.“

“The food, atmosphere and customer service is top tier. It was worth every penny. The food feels like your abuela is in the back cooking with love. The presentation is chic and luxurious. It feels like you were transported to Cuba. You greeted as soon as you walk in and the waitress and waiters go above and beyond to make sure you’re okay. This has to be on my top 5 places to eat in Cambridge. I wish I knew about this place before I graduate. I will be back. The ropa vieja is so good. It’s a traditional dish.“

“As always, we had a great time. The appetizers were fresh and delicious. We had lamb chops which were done to perfection. Our friends had lamb and chicken souvlaki which they said was delicious. But the dessert was a perfect end to a great meal. Pistachio Baklava and Loukoumades. Perfection!!“

“We had a good dinner at Estragon! The artichoke hearts & the lamb chops were the highlight of our dinner... absolutely delicious. The cauliflower mash we had with the lamb chops were out of this world. Drinks were worth the money — they were strong and the flavors were on point. The hibiscus margarita was great! My dad has a shellfish allergy so we were a little limited because they cook shellfish in the same fryer as everything else but that's more of a heads up to those with allergies! We still had a good time :)“

She rolled with my boyfriend's quips & even had some hilarious responses! The food was incredible! The scallops were the best I've ever had, and I'm from Boston & Quincy Ma where we have some amazing ones! The beef garlic pasta was unbelievable. The wings were amazing. They make amazing cocktails. I had a REAL margarita! Great pour! Hard to find a place without a mix... I really want to go back already! the prices are amazing!!!“

“We are in Cambridge for a few nights and found Dali being a restaurant nearby. It turned out to be an unexpected surprise. Luckily we made reservation as the restaurant was packed. The menu was extensive; the service was friendly; the meal was served quickly and delicious and the atmosphere was great. We ordered 4 tapas plus an order of focaccia and a bottle of wine. All come to less than $100 not including tips. A must try in Cambridge, MA.“

“I went to Boston and I just had to go to a tapas place since I love tapas places. I absolutely love the ambience of this place, we went on a Monday and it was pretty packed. We ordered bacalao croquettes, grilled octopus, gambas al ajillo, papas bravas. I have to say, my favorite tapas was the bacalao croquettes and the papas bravas - I know they have two kind of papas bravas, one with chorizo and and the regular- we ordered the regular.
I was pretty full and happy, this is a must if you decide to visit Boston!“

“HANDS DOWN the best Italian food I've ever eaten! Even the drinks were to die for, and I rarely drink. I had a Key Lime Pie martini, and a Pistachio martini...SO good! I drove down from Concord, New Hampshire for a girls night. We're planning another here soon! Give Venetian Moon a try, and be sure to ask to be seated in Louise's section. He was outstanding!!“

“I ordered my daughters 6th birthday cake from La Casa Del Pandebono and it literally the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. Not only was the custom cake beautiful and delicious, they provided a level of exceptional customer service that I didn’t even know existed. The “Tangled” cake included a beautiful edible gold crown as it’s center piece, and it was packaged separately. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, I accidentally broke it the night before the birthday party. I texted the owner asking if he has recommendations for me to reassemble it (knowing it was unlikely, but I was desperate). He immediately responded and asked for my address, letting me know he’d deliver a new one when he closed the store (I live in another town). I was shocked at his generosity and beyond grateful. As an expression of gratitude, a sent him an additional tip which he politely attempted to reject (I wouldn’t allow it…haha). In return, he delivered not only the grown, but an order of birria tacos and an empanada (which I was admiring when I went to pick up the cake) - literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. I cannot emphasize how touched I was by this experience. La Casa Del Pandebono is a rare gem - baked goods that are truly a work of art, and incredible food that is only surpassed by the unbelievable customer service. I will be a customer for life.“

“I celebrated my birthday at Hobgoblin with 15 friends in their basement space. There was live music from some talented Berklee students that night, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience.

I was able to make the initial reservation on Resy, modify it as needed by calling the restaurant, and they even gave me a semi private area so that our big group could mingle while listening to the music.

It’s rare for a place to have great food, amazing drinks, a fabulous vibe/atmosphere, AND live music with incredible service. Hobgoblin was all that and more and my friends couldn’t stop raving about how much they enjoyed it. I can’t wait to go back!!“

“Gustazo's is one of our favorite restaurants in Moody. It's where we bring everyone, and the place we always recommend. We haven't had a bad experience once. The food and cocktails are always amazing and the service is always fantastic no matter how busy it is.“

“Surprising, food was delicious. Fish and chips were soft/fresh very good, great actually. The Steak with fries was cooked perfectly, juicy. The cheese burger was the only good, the sauce was “ok” but again cooked perfectly. The waitress was great, perfect timing & smiling which is a small, easy thing to do that so many forget these days. Also the reservation was made for the wrong day & they were very understanding. Go try this restaurant, it’s worth the trip.“

“Charming old school beer hall. Sadly, it was damaged in 2018 due to a fire upstairs, and never re-opened. As of early 2019, the building appears to be for sale, so it looks like the closure may end up being permanent. :-(“

“Sabina has been open for a year and last weekend I finally got a chance to visit. Went there with a friend and we’d initially thought of just getting drinks but their menu was quite interesting so we tried a few appetizers. My friend had the Cuadrito de lechon which he mentioned was fantastic. I had the Esquite tostada which was presented very well and tasted great. We got a Guacamole to share and it was amazing!

Coming to drinks, my tamarind Margarita was top notch! I can’t remember the names of other drinks we tried but it was delicious!

I know that Newbury St is packed with places to go so it takes a whole lot more to be a standout, Sabina’s is one of those standouts for sure.“
